Wiccan and Hulkling guest-star as adorable audience surrogates as the Guardians drop some hints about how they've changed. They have a new mission and a new antagonist, but this issue is a trifle short on comprehensive explanations.
The hints we do get are intriguing, though, and there are plenty of thoughtful touches in how it's written and drawn.
Not my favorite issue of the series, but still a really interesting one. This wasn't the direction I was expecting the story to take, with the Guardians becoming "Groot" versions of themselves. However, I think it's an intriguing direction at that. I just hope the series ends up concluding in a strong way.
