STARK: DISASSEMBLED PART 1 The World's Most Wanted is now the World's Most Shattered... how does Tony Stark come back from the terrible tragedies that have befallen him? How can he? Will Iron Man survive having his mind deleted?
Since learning that an Avengers themed event called Siege will deal with the conclusion of Norman Osborn’s maniacal tenure of leadership; I now feel that Iron Man will be the one to put an end to it. All the cards are laid out on the table that should provide the means to bring Iron Man back into the good graces of the Avengers as well as the Marvel Universe proper. I just hope that this doesn’t affect the substance of his solo title though as it is strong as it has ever been. Read Full Review
It's a shame that Invincible Iron Man comes but once a month because it's easily one of Marvel's best superhero comics, if not the best superhero comic right now. If the rest of "Stark Disassembled" is as good as this opening chapter, Matt & Sal may as well start writing their Eisner acceptance speeches now. Read Full Review
Invincible Iron Man is firing on all cylinders at the moment, thanks to strong characterization, improved art, and a snazzy new cover design. Like Ed Brubaker's Captain America proved, sometimes the best thing you can do for your book is to take the main hero out of the game. Read Full Review
Larroca again delivers a stand up series of panels and images even when their narrative contents is less interesting, as is the case with the desert s dream sequence. I like his irregular line which when looked from a certain distance is quite stark and sharp. Read Full Review
This book has been firing on all repulsor rays for quite some time now, so this issue "- which is the "start" of a new storyline - seems like a letdown. In actuality, this issue is simply Fraction sharpening the blades of the gauntlet waiting for Tony Stark and his allies as Norman Osborn gains a little more confidence. This is a nice transition from the pace of the "World's Most Wanted" story, but this story needs to pick up soon as Iron fans surely feel a need for some stories that are more immediate in their start to finish.
