There's a good bit of material going on here that moves us through different phases of what's serving as setup for the final film in the trilogy and the Skywalker saga itself. It's a great way to expand on Leia's story and it ties back to events from the novels in a good way as well. Poe and Finn's story is the weaker piece for me here but I'm hoping it'll gain in importance as it progresses. And I do like what we see of Kylo and Hux as it hints as to the reason why things turn around as much as they do from the bits we've seen in the trailers. Two more installments to go! Luke Ross's art is still solid as always. The character writing for especially Rey and Leia but the entire cast is still on point. I'm invested in the series (though I still think that it was a mistake to mention how the Finn/Poe plot goes in the Galaxy's Edge comic) and I'm looking forward to seeing where the plot goes from here. While the last issue felt refreshing, merely because we got to experience any content about our heroes since Star Wars: The Last Jedi, there isn't much narrative momentum in this installment, feeling more like issue 1.5 instead of issue 2. Read Full Review

Politics and muted visuals make for a disappointing comic book. The story is logical in what occurs, but not exciting. Ren and Finn create the most enjoyment in this issue. I'm hoping the characters leave Mon Cala quickly and go someplace more interesting and drawn better. Read Full Review
