New Avengers #4 is a fun continuation of the King Arthur in Space storyline begun in the previous issue, and lays much more serious plot seeds for further exploration down the road. This smaller arc that allows a few characters more time as the focus seems to be working for this varied cast of characters, and hopefully we'll get the chance for a spotlight on different team members in future issues. The art is still a frustrating eyesore, which makes it difficult to recommend this book to anyone who isn't a devoted fan of the characters that make up the New Avengers team. Read Full Review
There's no pleasure to be derived from reviewing a book poorly. This is a series that was near the top of my must-read list before it launched. Unfortunately, it hasn't lived up to expectations, and that's okay, not every book does. But NEW AVENGERS feels insulting to the intelligence of its readers. Aside from Gerardo Sandoval's art, there isn't anything redeemable about this issue, and it would be disingenuous to recommend it to anyone for any other reason than said art. Read Full Review
continues to be amazing.
Why has this became so much Teddy and Wiccano oriented?
I could not care about Moridun any less. Or the Knights of the Infinite. This series should be a warning to other team books: just because you have an interesting roster doesn’t mean you don’t have to have good character and plot development. Bobby seems like a whole different character with sewing than with Hickman and I hate how he just stands on the sidelines. Squirrel Girl is literally there for no reason. Honestly, the only reason I keep coming back is for the Maker. And Pod. I like Pod
