Blue Raven Comics - Kassim Mirza Feb 14, 2013

If you've been reading this title and you've been eagerly awaiting to see Kaine confront the monster we all know is inside him, Scarlet Spider #14 delivers. Similarly, if you're looking for good writing and strong character development, pick up a couple Scarlet Spider back issues and jump on the train. It's fixin' to be a wild ride. Read Full Review

I like where this is headed. This was a great issue that answered a ton of questions and still managed to move the plot along. Chris Yost should definitely be commended somehow. Read Full Review

    IGN - Jesse Schedeen Feb 14, 2013

Scarlet Spider might not be receiving much attention right now in light of the Superior Spider-Man push, but for my money, it's the best Spider-Man title your money can buy right now. Read Full Review

Crave Online - Andy Hunsaker Feb 15, 2013

Anyway, Scarlet Spider is a neat series, and it's not afraid to get dark - and it does so without being simply for the sake of darkness. You should read it. Read Full Review

Comic Vine - Gregg Katzman Feb 13, 2013

Yost delivers a solid script as he places a key focus on Kaine's moral struggle. The issue has a fantastic payoff that'll likely get you pumped for what's to come, but seemingly rushed art holds back the book's overall impact. Yost has done a great job creating a strong supporting cast for the anti-hero and I'm especially interested to see how things will go once he encounters them again. Read Full Review

Still, I'm going to be along for the ride. Next issue should be a good one. Read Full Review

One Quest - Chris Cobb Feb 14, 2013

This is by far the lowest rated issue in the series which I guess is a pretty good track record, and I have a lot of faith that it'll be back on track in no time. Hopefully that will lead us right into the return of Kraven! Read Full Review

    Razorfine - Alan Rapp Feb 18, 2013

I really hope Kaine's transformation lasts only and issue or two as I'm far less interested in reading about a spider-monster assassin than Kaine's attempt to redeem himself and do honor to the name of the Scarlet Spider. Even a short cameo by Ben Reilly can't save this one. Pass. Read Full Review

So yeah, all in all, not a fan of this issue or the developments here, here's hoping things go back to how they were two issues ago, as soon as possible. Read Full Review
