I want to love this book, but it doesn't pull off all that it's trying to do. However, the adventure is strong, and the visuals are stunning, which is enough to make it a recommended read. If you're interested in heroes trudging across the globe to save the world under the guise of Spider-Man, read this book. Read Full Review

Spidey-Noir doesn't cover himself in glory here, getting stomped by Electro, saved by other heroes, and then dragged to Babylon by his companions. It's a simplistic story but it's told well, with competent words and nigh-perfect art. The protagonist's passiveness is a problem, though. And this title relies too much on the reader whole-heartedly embracing the "Indiana Jones, but starring 30s Spider-Man" premise. As in, the creators want a pass on shallow characterization and predictable plot twists because lots of middle-of-the-road "pulpy" stories have those problems.
Also, "glow stick"? In 1939?
This issue was really fun and had a good twist at the end. I dig the art style and characters in it.
Well, meh... It's better, than the previous issue, but Electro was defeated too fast and also that betrayal in the end wasn't even a "twist". Twists from first Spider-Man Noir series were much better and shocking. Jameson-Chameleon, for example. I still believe, that ending of Spider-Man Noir 2020 can bee cool, but now it's boring sometimes. And yet, nice Stark cameo!
This was probably the worst issue. Some parts were a little confusing as there were panels that just seemed out of place. I really like the art. It looks fantastic and the story was not bad but it could be better.
This wasn't great, and often boring.
