But Why Tho? - Adrian Jan 1, 1970

Star Wars #6 gives more and more background on Luke path to becoming a Jedi and fills the gaps left in between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi in a way that feels authentic. While much of what has transpired will never see a screen, I am glad that we as Star Wars fans have it in this medium to appreciate. Read Full Review

    Comics: The Gathering - Ellie J. Sep 17, 2020

The last couple issues were slow, but now I'm totally on board. Soule is writing something special here, as he did with 2017's Darth Vader series. Add that to the amazing art from Jesus Saiz, Arif Prianto, and Clayton Sowles, and this is the best Star Wars comic this year, in my opinion. I absolutely cannot wait to see where the next issue leads; I have a feeling it's only gonna get crazier and crazier, in the best way! Read Full Review

    SciFiPulse - Ian Cullen Sep 20, 2020

Charles Soule creates another action-packed issue, which expands on Luke Skywalker's journey to becoming the Jedi that we eventually see in 'Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi', but we also get a little foreshadowing for the much-derided 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' during the sequence where Verla warns Luke about his future relationship with the Force. Hopefully, we'll get to see a lot more mythology surrounding the force in future issues. Read Full Review

Forces Of Geek - Atlee Greene Sep 16, 2020

Mysteries are solved while other secrets surface with a shift in narrative focus. This is by far the best book in the series. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - John Edward Lee Sep 16, 2020

Having a clear arc ending is a bittersweet position for a fan to be in. On one hand, this one concluded well without a weak issue in the bunch. On the other hand, it means the series is going to take a new turn, which can be scary and exciting. Soule started out strong here and if history is any indication, he will be serving up more Star Wars awesomeness just around the corner. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - acnbat Sep 11, 2020

The Star Wars flagship book does exactly as it should. It's leading the way for this rebooted comic line in both its writing and art. So, if you're not sure which of the four Star Wars books to get, you can't go wrong with this, the main book. Read Full Review

    ComicBook.com - Patrick Cavanaugh Sep 16, 2020

With fans knowing that the High Republic era of mythology would be emphasized going forward, it's hard to tell whether its historical inclusion was due to publishing initiatives or organically emerged, but this concluding chapter of the arc felt not only like a fulfilling end to this specific journey but also sets the stage for the continuing narrative to go in a variety of exciting directions.
