I continue to look forward to this more grounded part of the Star Wars universe. And I look forward to seeing where this story finishes up in next month's issue. Read Full Review
This issue is filled with lots of action shots, beautifully drawn characters, great writing, and fantastic backgrounds and coloring. The lettering could use a little more creativity to marry the art better, but even then it's not so bad that it makes the story unreadable, and this is a hell of a story. If you like Star Wars, guns, explosions, or got the hots for "Bobby Fetty then get in line for this issue of Star Wars Bounty Hunters because it is a juicy one. Read Full Review
Well worth a look if you are a fan of Boba Fett and these characters. Hopefully we get to see how Tasu Leech is getting on later as we did see one of the other crew not on the ship somewhere else. Read Full Review
Knowing that there are just a few issues left in this run is helping me a good deal in moving through it. It's not bad per se but it's also just kind of there. Valance is less of a character at the moment because of his condition but there's not enough personality among the rest of the cast to make it work. Fett's not really a personality either as he only gains one later thanks to the TV series and it's debatable if that's really a personality. The journey forward moves along well enough here to try and save Valance but it's made mostly through constant shootouts and action among various largely faceless-like entities such as the Syndicates or just random aliens in bars. It's simple and effective but it's also, once again, largely forgettable. Read Full Review
By putting the characters first, while also investing more into the overall aesthetic of the book, the series feels less like fan fiction and more like an organic storyline being realized with unique characters, so given how low our expectations have been for this book for years, it seems to finally be heading in the right direction when it comes to earning a space on the shelf. This issue was okay. I hope that's not the end of Boba Fett. He added a huge contradiction to the rest of the group. He was in it for himself and would use them to complete his mission, which is on track with the character. The whole Valance plot feels contrived and the Losha scene could have been removed entirely. The whole issue was just one big battle scene. I liked the twist that Boba Fett was working for the cousin, but there's no set up to what that means to the universe.
