You don't know Sith until you've seen this Vader in action. The story is stellar as a Jedi and his acolytes are pursued by Vader, Inquisitors, and stormtroopers. The visuals show some stunning, epic action that left me screaming at the book. This could be the most perfect Darth Vader comic ever created. Highest possible recommendation. Read Full Review

This arc has struggled in its underwater escapades, with this installment offering readers both exciting action and emotional investment, finally giving us a reason to hope these Jedi live to fight another day. Read Full Review

    Razorfine - Alan Rapp May 15, 2018

The original Star Wars was a little fuzzy about just where Darth Vader fit into the hierarchy of the Empire. In Tarkin's plea, we get confirmation that Vader is set outside of the military completely and able to act on the Emperor's wishes. Vader agrees to leave his men, but based on Barr's surprise for the Inquisitors, it looks like a decision he may regret. Worth a look. Read Full Review

    Pop Culture Uncovered - Harry C. May 10, 2018

Giuseppe Camuncoli's art is still as solid as always, especially during the flashbacks as we learn about the other Jedi. The dark colors used throughout the comic also add to the tension and hopelessness of the situation. This is one of the few times you may actually root for the bad guys, even though this story is less about them! Read Full Review

It starts off a bit slowly but really hits a high note with some cool reveals that are complimented even further by someone who reads the other Star Wars comics. I've come to expect nothing more than greatness from Soule and Darth Vader.

Awesome story with some really great plot twists, and the usual strong artwork by Camuncoli. Master Barr became more interesting in this issue, especially because of the differences in his behaviour from most of the other Jedi we've seen. I liked the continuity with the Mace Windu miniseries, and after that last page reveal I really can't wait for the next issue!

Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten.

To be honest, a ton didn’t happen this issue. We left last issue with Vader finding out that their was an underground reserve of Jedi hiding out with the Mon Calamari people. Vader tortures the King of the Mon Calamari people and he gave up their location. We pick up in the story with Jedi Master Barr trying to get his people out of there fast. But it’s too late.

Vader found them escaping under the water and literally made one of his “padawans” heads explode. The rest get back to another hidden location only to have two more drop like flie more
