I guess I know this comic too well because I saw the twist coming immediately. I thought this issue had some good stuff in it, but definitely not my fave.

Was really good until the end. I thought they could have came up with something better. Other than that I was interested the whole way through.

This might be my favorite one. This one hit all the spots.

I really appreciated this issue more then I actually enjoyed it. As always though, I love how hard this comic tries at all times. Really great stuff.

Kudos to Hickman and the rest of the creative teams behind House of X and Powers of X.
Both of these books had stuck the landing and provided satisfying conclusions.

What a fantastic ending to both Powers of X and House of X. I'm overall impressed with how consistent RB Silva and Pepe Larraz have been on art, especially within this tight time frame. I love that Hickman answers only the questions that are necessary to wrap up this series while setting seeds for what will be important for Dawn of X going forward. Can't wait for more for what has been my two favorite Marvel books of the year. more

The Good:
Minster Sinister. 'Nuff said.

The infographics are always great but I would like to note the Sinister Secrets. This is definitely going to be referenced later on and will be a great point of tying these stories from Dawn of X together.

Loving the interaction between Professor X and Magneto.

Likewise we got some solid progress on Krakoa itself, with an interesting twist too.

The future part is being clearer. That said though...

The Bad:
It still is a bit confusing especially where all these different times fit together with these future stories.

Conclusion:
Hickman delivers some solid work in this issue, continuing to redefine the X-Men world. This has been an amazing ride so far and I don't want to leave at all. more

The beginning with Sinister was just awesome, the birth of Krakoa explained by Cypher was insightful and beautiful, and the end was as interesting as it gets. Combine all of this with Silva's fantastic art, and we got ourselves another great issue that keeps the plot going even if we don't understand everything right now.

Felt a tad short, but a HIGHLY effective issue. Hickman is so good when he is committed.

Could Hickman write X-Men forever, please?

This rubbish at the expense of great titles. Retire Venom and Carnage along with the Hulk and the world will be a much happier place

Scott Snyder is one of my favorite comic-book writers. What I enjoy most in his work are his inventive storytelling, his captions' polished prose and the thought-provoking themes he explores. So you can fathom how excited I got when this project was announced. Regarding Jeff Lemire's art, even if his covers often please me, I never loved his interior pages, which I find quite poorly detailed and rather strangely colored.



From the moment I opened it to the instant I finished reading it, I was utterly mesmerized. The concept of rotating between prose for the memories and comic-book pages for the present time works flawlessly. The former is mainly a showcase of Snyder's talent. Lemire's illustrations for these pages are sometimes useless and even unveil the end of the paragraph. But, in the latter, the art is splendid. Lemire's style brings a somewhat dreamlike feel to the tale and the colors are gorgeous. Moreover, it’s important to stress the excellent lettering of Steve Wands, especially in the prose pages, where the text guides your eyes almost musically.



The story is highly intriguing and creative, but we don’t know much about it yet, and that’s the main weakness of the comic-book. I don’t understand why they decided to divide the story into three parts. The ending doesn’t feel like one and left me on my hunger. Nevertheless, the main themes have plenty of time to be developed, like death (obviously), family or memories. They had already been studied in Snyder’s past works, notably in Wytches, and that reflects how personal this work is. By reading the protagonist’s monologue, you grasp the writer’s anxieties.



To conclude, while it’s not genre-shattering and revolutionary, this comic-book didn’t disappoint me at all and is totally worth the price, but, for now, I believe a publication in one single graphic novel would have served the story better.
