The first issue where too many threads are unraveling while it's harder to decipher the whole picture. Not a bad thing, just harder to read as a single issue while easier to read as trade or full story. The wait is the hardest part but luckily this is a weekly series. Anyway This chapter has a lot and many great moments and questions questions questions? R.B. Silva and Gracia are awesome together, more

Solid issue with great art but it is almost entirely exposition and setup for the Dawn of X books so it will seem a little underwhelming. Theres no payoff to any of this exposition and there wont be for a while but again this is a necessary evil for the coming X books to have something to go off of.

The beginning with Sinister was just awesome, the birth of Krakoa explained by Cypher was insightful and beautiful, and the end was as interesting as it gets. Combine all of this with Silva's fantastic art, and we got ourselves another great issue that keeps the plot going even if we don't understand everything right now.

This issue is a bit confusing, but it is what is expected from Hickman. While it is true that each issue of this series and House of X is good and has a great quality in itself, I think that like every good story that connects, it will be the saga in its entirety that makes us appreciate all of this.

King writes Batman and Catwoman’s relationship perfectly in this one, regardless of all the other nonsense he’s done in the last thirty issues. I was able to forget about all of that and really enjoy the art and dialogue in this surprisingly uplifting issue.

I consider that, nobody in their right mind, will criticize Mann's art in this issue, it is absolutely incredible. It is a 10 out of a 10. It is one of the most beautiful drawings I have seen in several years and the colors do not detract at all. The problem will focus on the script and the dialogues of Tom King but no one should be surprised. A few numbers to conclude his stage, he will not chang more

I really liked it.

I can already see people complaining about how this is filler but I think that it's good to finally have a more laid back issue that focuses on Bruce and Selina's relationship, especially after they were separated for so long. I thought that it was well written, heartwarming and beautiful. The art is so good I don't think I know a word to describe how good it is. And more

^^This! And even though it's an interlude, it's still crucial to the overall story. It answers the thesis to King's entire run: can Bruce be happy and still be Batman?

Talon1load - Sep 13, 2019

Bruce HAS been happy before. And this idiotic interlude is only important because King is forcing it to be. It still makes zero sense. Why did those guys even know what could beat Bane? Nothing makes sense.

Breathtaking. One of the best X-Men stories in a long time. It is incredible what an excellent drawing and the game with the colors can do when it is accompanied by a good writing and vice versa. The thing here is that with a classic style, Hickman continues to reimagine the mutant history quite convincingly.

I would have liked a slightly more active Jean, but overall a great issue.

Outstanding issue. Hickman is just killing it along with many other X-men along the way. How he manages to deliver the emotional and action hits well....I don't know but they have weight to them. I don't know how he gets out of this one and I don't care because I'm all in.

As a long-time X-Men reader, I've been really excited by Hickman's take on the team and its mythos. The story in HoX and PoX is the first time in a long time that I've considered any book a "must read."

This issue was a gut punch in some ways, although I'm pretty sure that we're going to see that graphic of Moira's past lives come into play with regard to everything that went down. >
I'd give this a 10, but I have issues with Hickman's dialogue. Like a lot of modern writers, he seems to have trouble nailing the individual voices of the characters, which has been a Marvel trademark since the beginning. more

Still really good, but not as strong as the first two House of X issues. This one goes the action route, and while it is exciting and gripping, it has strange cuts to the court house scene with Sabretooth and to pages with graphs right in the middle, which is a little jarring.
