Actually wanted to test to see if I rated a 1 would I get an automatic like from Darkseid24 and the other ppl who auto rate Tom king Batman 3 or lower. Jokes aside, the reality is the run is fine, it's nothing special or amazing, but since Batman is so huge and ppl have put some of their personality in it, ppl tend to act irrationally. This issue is better than the last since something actually more

Idk if that's true lol his first 30 issues were pretty good

Darkseid24 - Aug 22, 2019

You can’t solve everything with Scarecrow’s fear gas lol But yes it could be. Honestly I think this is even worse than the Knightmare arc. At last nobody was killed/ wounded there. His first issues were mediocre to me, it turned really bad during Knightmare, then to total trash during the desert & City of Bane storyline. I hope there will be a better writer.

Well, this is going to be divisive.

Let me start by saying that the art is just brilliant, seriously, it's so damn good!
Anyways, this issue is divided into two parts. Most of the issue is Damian fighting his way to Thomas so he could take him down and the rest is Bruce and Selina talking to each other, trying to figure out what to do next. The issue ends with one of the most impor more

The art as always is simply amazing 10/10 Janín and Daniel at their best.
Colors are pretty good especially those used in the story of Damian and BatThomas.
I expected a little more from the Bat - Cat meeting but in general I think it's fine and well ... you know ... nobody saw that coming.

I think a lot of people are blinded by their hatred towards Tom King and his... erm. Disastrous Heroes in Crisis. And believe me, I am not pleased at what came out of that series, either. I'm also really mad at him for how he wrote that story. It ultimately left a lot of soreness. However, I try not to look at the writer, but the story. And what I see is a pretty good story.

I don't think everyone who hates it is joining a bandwagon, that would totally discredit one side. I have noticed the comic community is very mob-like though. Such as when people were seriously saying every single Rebirth book was great (which started on YouTube) or that every single Marvel book is bad, or that Bendis and Tom King are ruining DC... etc. etc. It is all mob rhetoric. You hear the exact same things said practically word for word around the internet.

myconius - Aug 12, 2019

perhaps there might be some truth in those words. Bendis and Tom King ARE ruining DC. ...but if you want to dispute that people online all say the same thing, i don't go out of my way to cut up Bendis. as much as i don't care for what Bendis is doing to Superman it's not my favorite character. Tom King on the other had is destroying Batman, my favorite character. so i call him out for it. as for everyone praising every single Rebirth book, those are just deluded fanboys, drunk off hype.

Gotham is descending into madness and it's such a joy to read.

The issue starts with Gotham Girl and Captain Atom fighting because Atom can sense that something is wrong in the city but gets beaten by Gotham Girl pretty easily (maybe the fight should have been tenser or longer), reinforcing the idea that getting into Gotham city without Bane's permission is not an easy task to do. City of Bane continues to introduce us to the New Gotham City. King's still writing so there the same qualities and problems than the last 75 issue. Mystery deepens with this issue, Hickman once again shows how adept he is at connecting one story with two books. I like the different timelines and him taking influence from days of Future past, but with new characters and twists. RB Silva's art isn't as good as Pepe larraz's imo but it's still good, and Gracia's colors once again elevate the book greatly.
