The most horrific scene I've ever encountered in a Star Wars comic is in this book. The story and art are at the highest possible level to thrill and chill your soul. This is required reading for all Star Warsfans. I absolutely give my highest possible recommendation to this issue! Read Full Review
Soule made this issue quick and clean. There was very little dialogue, which made the comic easy to read and fun, while the art team literally draws readers into the issue wonderfully. Soule set up the first issue well and left readers with great questions moving forward. Read Full Review
Once again this Darth Vader series continues to impress and this issue is full of a nasty and evil side of the Empire, which I love to see. Darth Vader is an easy recommendation to any Star Wars fan. Read Full Review
This book is of a top standard. Classic Star Wars like we used to get, and the main man Skywalker, Snr. is on top villainous form. Well done to all involved including an editorial team that finally seems to get the standard that is expected. Read Full Review
Soule does a solid job in the slow expansion of Vader's life here and I'm still really intrigued by everything he's doing with the isolation he puts himself in and the training of it. Read Full Review
The first issue of a new arc, I'm curious to see where the story comes from here (as the comic works very well as a standalone story that doesn't necessarily need to be extended). Will the Inquisitors plans for the Jedi children be revealed? Will Vader hunt more Jedi? Or does the Emperor have something else in mind for his most loyal servant? Worth a look. Read Full Review
Darth Vader has found the information he has been looking for. It looks like Crimson dawn has been able to infiltrate the Empire itself. It looks like it is time for Vader to clean house. Read Full Review
While there's nothing wrong with the issue itself, by delivering audiences Vader's violence and ruthlessness in a lightsaber battle, we're left wondering what could be over the horizon more than we're embracing this issue's narrative. Read Full Review
This issue is everything I was hoping for from this series! We got to see some new inquisitors and they also showed all the ones we know from Rebels. This story complements the Rebels episode "The Future of the Force" extremely well, and that was one of my favourite episodes! I was really happy to see Eeth Koth again, his story was great and it's interesting that he had a force sensitive child. This arc is off to a great start, I really can't wait for the next issue.
A surprisingly vicious issue. Vader is still as badass as it comes and he seems to be getting more and more evil with each issue.
