Black Nerd Problems - Chris Aiken Jul 5, 2021

Creative bad guys and high stakes make for another great issue of Marvel's Star Wars: The High Republic. Writer Cavan Scott and artist Georges Jeanty are creating quality work. I especially loved the chaotic fight scenes and how Jeanty manages to bring emotion to all the different aliens within the book. This arc looks like it's coming to a close, and I hope we get more of the classic Star Wars story beats after it's done. All in all, it's a fantastic start to the High Republic era. Read Full Review

Jeanty does great work with the art in this issue. The action is almost non-stop so the art has to convey both movement and emotion. Something Jeanty does really well as the story builds to its climax. Read Full Review

The Jedi now know where to find the heart of the Drengir, and they have tasted victory against them as well. Kreeve Trennis will certainly be headed into further danger, but now she is armed with more knowledge of how to stop the invading plant lifeforms as well as the full support of the Jedi of the High Republic behind her. The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge Mar 22, 2022

With the mention of Mulita as a place to go and the Nightmare Conjunction, Cavan Scott is tying into things he laid some of the foundations for back with the Dooku novel he wrote a couple of years ago. I'm curious to see how far it goes and what we will really find out about it. It's another of those tales rooted in myth and the passage of time that can be interpreted in interesting ways. With this issue, I like both of the stories and just the craziness of a combat-happy Hutt, but the time with Sskeer and Keeve works the best. Georges Jeanty and Karl Story are a solid team for this series as they capture the look and feel of this era well where it has familiar trappings of the Age of the Republic era but making it its own thing with how the Jedi act and operate. Comics: The Gathering - stephengervais Jul 3, 2021

Overall, this was a very promising beginning to an exciting new story. This comic remains my favorite in Marvel's current Star Wars lineup and I'm really invested in seeing where the story goes, both in this series and in the overall initiative. The characters and storyline is as interesting as ever and I can't wait to see what happens next! Read Full Review

    COMICON - Tony Thornley Jul 6, 2021

This reliably enjoyable series steps it up for an interlude arc. The story is high octane, and the art is explosive. It's another solid entry in the High Republic story initiative. Read Full Review
