‘Strange Academy: Finals' keeps all the magical emotional energy from its predecessor, adding a whole new crop of issues for the divided student body as past actions are beginning to have even more dire consequences. This is a series that captures youthful voices so well and has carved its own space into an under-explored portion of the Marvel Universe, presenting a colorfully gorgeous ever-expanding story month after month. This is the magical youth series that everyone should be reading. Read Full Review
Ramos crafts some beautiful art throughout the issue. The details of both the characters and the worlds they inhabit continue to draw me to this series. Read Full Review
New relaunch, same awesome characters and drama. A lot of exciting stuff is set up in this issue and I'm looking forward to pretty much all of it. Read Full Review

I would say that is would be more of an add-on to the story if you have been following that series already. There is too much that has been going on with the different timelines and such for me to pick it up now. Read Full Review
A decent recap issue that further sets up the impending showdown. I'm not sure I love Emily turning evil...I hope this arc has a satisfying resolution cause it kinda feels like Emily going bad is just a twist for the sake of being twisty. It doesn't make a ton of sense to me considering the rest of the story. I also really loved her and Doyle together, so I'm bummed on that level too. But this was still a fun issue with more spectacular art from Humberto Ramos.
There are some improvable points in the art, and rather more of them in the script. On balance the storytelling is strong, though, and it's still very easy to care about what happens to these characters. The scenes run on pretty long, but the overall pace feels brisk and I'm eager to get to the next chapter.
