• With Mister Immortal back from the grave (literally), the team finds themselves in a real pickle (figuratively) while trying to decide on a new team leader.
• Things go from bad to double bad when the GLA gets shut down by the city right when they're needed the most!
• Also, fighting...finally! And a special look into Flatman's secret origin!

Altogether this is something I can see myself picking up in trade eventually and cheering on the little guy. Read Full Review
Whilst reading this issue, we thought to ourselves “how has it taken this long for the Great Lakes Avengers to return?”, but really we think it's a good thing. The team working on the comic now obviously understand the strengths of the characters and feel like a perfect fit for the series, we can't really pick any major faults with the material we're reading. This is a good issue as it builds up a new character, is paced well, and has a few good laughs too. I wouldn't say it's as funny as previous issues, and the team aspect isn't working, but overall it's an okay time with a book that could really go far. Read Full Review
Great Lakes Avengers is everything a fan of the team could want in a comic. The art is amazing, the writing is doing great by all the characters and the team's history. This should be a phenomenal comic. But for me, personally, it's just not clicking. Read Full Review
This issue has a lot of intrigue surrounding things we have no reason to care about, plus a flashback so boring that it's depressing. Who asked for this book? I really don’t see a real plot other than GLA getting back together but we don’t need one because Great Lakes Avengers is funny, nice to look at, and it has great character writing.
The GLA is showing that it has some interesting places to go. I like the way they are building the characters. There is some good humor here as well. It would be nice to see them in action a little more, but we are getting there. The art is very fitting for the theme of the book. This is one of the lesser known titles that has some great potential.
