This issue wraps up the story arc into a nice package, but sadly this was my final issue of The Ultimates and Im not about to start Ultimate X-Men & Ultimate Spider-Man, especially with the upcoming crossover Divided We Fall. If theres one thing I despise is inter-series crossovers. Written by Sam Humphries & Jonathan Hickman. Illustrated by Luke Ross, Ron Garney & Butch Guice. From Marvel Comics. Read Full Review

Hopefully this series can move past the growing pains it's been experiencing these past few months. Humphries has the chance to fully define his run and his voice outside of Hickman's shadow as he moves into "Divided We Stand," and I hope he makes good on the opportunity. Read Full Review

I wish the whole run was like this... No dumb conspiracies against the Ultimates and no boring presidential conversations... Very solid issue and I'm not even angry about the fall of the Maker. That's cool it was Sue who captured him in the first place, even if the Stark and his tumor made all the hard work. We even have a gigantic Hulk here! What's more, than that? The return of Cap?

The only bad thing about this comic for me is the art. Two artists made the last 1/4 of the comic and they styles were worse, than the main artist's one. Or rather just not fit here, not exactly worse. Their drawings just too dirty and harsh.

Hickman and Ribic’s 12 issue mini-saga for the Ultimates concludes as the Ultimates prevail and the Maker is stopped. For the first time in what’s felt like forever, the Ultimate Universe is good again

This book really fell off after Hickman and Ribic handed the reins to Humphries and whoever the hell drew these last few issues. An anticlimactic end to what was once an epic series. The Maker was outsmarted and defeated relatively easily after being an unstoppable force who was always 10 steps ahead every other time. Too bad Hickman couldn't have carried this run to a satisfying resolution.
