Liked the issue, but where's the Human Torch?
LAST CHANCE BEFORE THE MAKER RETURNS! CALLING ALL ULTIMATES! There's only one month remaining before the City reopens and the Maker emerges. And Tony Stark has a message for the entire world…
Ultimates #18 is the deep breath before the drop. It doesn't feature the Maker himself, but his presence is felt in every panel. This issue does the hard work of setting the stage for the finale, moving the pieces into place, and raising the stakes to a global level. Read Full Review
In The Ultimates #18, Tony Stark is amassing something bigger than a team of superheroes he is building a resistance movement to defy The Maker and his council at every turn and on every level. Tony's hopeful and inspiring message resonates with those who have grown weary and frustrated with oppressive and unjust systems in which average everyday people are exploited for the benefit of the rich and powerful. Frigeri delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the character designs a lot. A beautiful looking issue from start to finish. Read Full Review
The Ultimates continues to impress, even if the new Ultimate Universe begins to lose its momentum. I'm hoping Camp and Frigeri can stick the landing on the finale, as this kind of optimistic energy can only go downhill, I fear. Read Full Review
There is so much of what Deniz Camp and Juan Frigeri do in this issue that should be an exciting lead into The Maker's return. Unfortunately because of how poorly the Ultimates have been built as a team what Iron Lad leads the team in doing just does not hit. Read Full Review
The Ultimates #18 makes a lot of noise but struggles to turn the racket into actual substance. Save your cash for a comic that understands the meaning of "show, don't tell, unless you're collecting social movements by the bundle. Read Full Review

I think this is the best series coming out of the current Ultimate Marvel books
It rehashed the current story and did a lot of talking. While it was pretty well done for the most part, it still just was a lot of talking.
It’s ok. Definitely not as good as issue 16.
This series doesn’t tackle enough of the issues around the comforts that create complacency that allow for consolidation of resources. Who shows up for the revolution if we lose our high quality distractions like streaming, the NFL and Below Deck? What if it’s the Bears year??
It’s has an overly simplistic moral view around what allows consolidation of power to happen.
