ALL-NEW ARC! ALL-NEW JUMPING-ON POINT! "THE BOOK OF THE DEAD" - PART ONE!
Into the Deadside! Years ago, Project Rising Spirit's cutting-edge nanite technology transformed Ray Garrison into the walking weapon codenamed Bloodshot. Now, those very same microscopic machines have infected his infant daughter's physiology and threaten to destroy her from the inside out. As the life of an innocent hangs in the balance, Bloodshot will be forced to make an unimaginable decision: to watch the child he loves die, or to confront death itself...and strike a bargain for her safety. Now, with the supernatural heroes known as Shadowman and Dr. Mirage to more
The stakes " both physical and emotional " are incredibly high here, and because Lemire's previous Valiant stories have been known to slaughter some sacred cows, it does not feel guaranteed that a good outcome is promised at the end of it all. If not, the arc itself might become so pervasively dark that it becomes borderline unreadable, but as a first chapter, this is first-rate comics. Read Full Review
The game has been taken to new heights. To save baby Jessie, Ray must leave the human world and travel to parts unknown. What that means for everyone's favorite hard-hitting hero, well it certainly means issue #6 is well worth reading and that goes double for issue #7. Read Full Review
Another thrilling chapter in the life of Bloodshot and his family. Just when you think they catch a break, the bottom falls out again. The issue is more about exposition than action, but the last issue filled that quite nicely. I enjoyed the more serious tine, and certainly understood the gravitas of the plot and felt as the reader that the stakes were high. Read Full Review
This is the story of a Dad willing to go through hell in order to save his child. That his family is in the center of a vast web of intrigue, he happens to be a science enhanced super soldier who has to cheat death, and he must survive the unknown agenda of a mysterious organization makes Bloodshot Salvation that much more interesting. There is an awful lot going on here, but jump in, the water's fine, even if it is deep. Read Full Review
A comic that, through no fault of its own, struggles in comparison to an issue that 90% of you won't have read yet (but you will next month) is still a very good read nonetheless. Start reading this story now, and be prepared for one of the best issues of the year next month. Read Full Review
The next installment of Bloodshot Salvation promises to be pivotal, and we know that all magic comes at a price. What will Bloodshot have to pay? Read Full Review

Bloodshot Salvation #6 is another solid issue in the series. Its fairly slow-moving and clearly trying to set up for the hyped-up next issue (oh, well get there). However, the emotional weight of it all as well as the phenomenal art make this an enjoyable read. I can recommend this one. Feel free to check it out. Read Full Review
A decent, although repetitive, start to the second arc that has the misfortune of having art that has no emotions to it. This is an issue of necessary, just not very interesting, set-up. Read Full Review
It's like a really awesome 90s action movie.
First off, the artwork is spectacular! I love that Valiant gives me a thick cover for my $3.99. The story here is very good, but a tad slow for my taste. I'm not sure why Lemire gives us a glimpse of the near future. It spoils the storyline currently going on in the present. I mean, if we see Jessie in the future, then we know she doesn't die in the present. Anyway, this is still one of my favorite books on the market right now.
