The next issue of War Mother will finally bring cataclysm, yet there is a sense of beauty in the chaos that is this world where the Jade reigns supreme. Even if Ana is able to overcome the dangers of The Montana to save her people, those people may self destruct from the inside out regardless. Whatever happens, I await with bated breath. As a four issue miniseries this story has been quite enjoyable – more so than I ever expected – andWar Mother #3continues the quality shown in the last two issues that puts the series on pace to go out with a bang. I just wish I had more to say about this comic. Read Full Review
To be very honest, War Mother really feels like an episode of Doctor Who. Crazy mystery with historically themed villains? Check. A side character with a terrible agenda? Check. Everyone counting on the protagonists about to walk into danger? Check. Van Lente is a professed fan of the British sci-fi and it shows, but not without crafting something that is similar, yet unique. Read Full Review
If you are not a fan of the 4001 AD, there may not be much here for you, but this issue made me care about the characters more than I did before. It is not perfect, but the last issue's overall motif of motherhood is complicated and that is something that this mini-series needed. Of course, established fans will not want to miss it. We truly are on the edge of the journey's end. Read Full Review
This series continues to weave a tale in a slow, but intriguing way. Despite it's lack of speed the storytelling is good, and there is enough in unrevealed plot elements that keep the reader's interest. As was the case in previous issues the art from Segovia continues to be of a high standard with lots of interesting detail. The action sequences are accompanied by still moments of intrigue and both are rendered equally well in the art which is an achievement. A steady issue which retains the momentum established by the series to date. Read Full Review
Well I really like when I expect something, but the writer do anything else in better. And this War Mother Issue was that.
I really like what I read & how surprisingly what I trust will happen, didn't. But other thing, did.
That's a really good righting, and I'm more & more sad to left War mother with the next Issue.
So I hope many of you will try & appreciate it, and maybe Valiant will bring her back for more.
Cover - How to not like it. 2/2

Arts - Well a very good work, dynamic & class. Love each panel ... 3/3

This series has been very good! Just one more issue left, and just a great concept with her gun 'Flacco' and it's great between the two the dynamic. Excellent art and David Mack is covers are always so good a fun 4 issue mini-series.
You need to be reading this comic and this series should be an ongoing and not a mini. War Mother is a vivid and interesting world that is begging for a video game or tv series. This series has the potential of being the Mad Max style series that we all deserve. Segovia paints a grounded destroyed environment that feels more real than many other Sci-Fi series and War Mother brings some color that is needed with Valiant comics in general.
Van Lente has delivered another solid entry in this story arc and I am on board to the end. I don't normally spend much time with Valiant Comics, but I would be on board with War Mother being a permanent part of my pull list. If you are a fan of Gears of War, Mad Max, or any story of post-civil more
