From across the void...the true history of the Armor Hunters revealed!
In the far reaches of deep space, an elite and hardened corps of soldiers has protected the galaxy by eliminating one singular threat - a plague of X-O Manowar armors that has driven the universe to the brink of madness. Now, for the first time, Robert Venditti opens the vault to reveal the stunning secret of the Armor Hunters - who they are, where they come from, and why a terrible secret from their past now threatens the present!
Once again Valiant, Venditti, Bernard and crew impress. X-O Manowar has been the crown jewel of Valiant since it burst back on the scene and this is just another example of why. Stellar back story for some really interesting characters that, in all honesty, I hope get to stick around after this event is all said and done. Bravo. Read Full Review
The final issue of this arc wraps-up perfectly. Readers catch the Armor Hunters story and how it connects back to Aric. It's a cut and dry, simple story that adds an immense amount of depth to the book. Sure, Aric hasn't been in this book for a few months, but it doesn't matter because these past few issues were done so dang well. Now, fans can only wait and see how the rest of this event plays out and what the future holds for Aric and Earth. Read Full Review
Yet another great Armor Hunters tie-in that expands on the villains of the series nicely. And finally Malgam has become much more interesting! Read Full Review
X-O Manowar #28 is hands down one of the best issues of the year among all comic titles. Read Full Review
X-O Manowar #28 is an entertaining issue that gives critical answers regarding the Armor Hunters and what created the situation prior to their visit to Earth, but raises some equally important questions about their portrayal in the main series. Reebo's brutal action in ordering the destruction of Mexico City stands in stark contrast to the actions he takes here but it seems as if that will be answered next issue. At least I'm hopeful of that. However this issue did addmore nuance to the characters and showed what they believed in. In addition to making me look forward to the next issue and anticipating the crucial answer it'll contain, I'm also more intrigued by the Armor Hunters as a whole, and even the fate of Control. So in that regard, this issue succeeds. Read Full Review
X-O Manowar #28 is a simple to follow entry that adds detail to an already thrilling series. In short: if you're already invested you won't regret this outing as it comes recommended. Read Full Review
Some depth has been given to the Armor Hunters through X-O Manowar, and particularly X-O Manowar #28. Though it's hard not to feel like there is a bit you might want out of this. Of course this origin tale is far from over, though you can't help but feel that the Armor Hunter's story is at their best when they are in conflict with Earth. That might change, but we'll have to see with issue #29. Read Full Review
The downside for me? It was hard getting caught up with the lingo, and the characters seemed slightly one dimensional"but that's getting nit-picky. I must admit, I'm looking forward to reading what happens next! Read Full Review
The book's only flaw, which is nothing more than my personal gripe, is that Aric's absence weighs heavily. Otherwise, this is a superb action story. Read Full Review
Great issue and great background on Malgam
Italia - ed ecco come malgam viene infettato dall'armatura! Capitolo molto importante per capire ciò che è realmente accaduto.
This is a tragic, well rounded end to this arc... Now can we PLEASE get back to Aric!?
