I do. I was really hoping for someone to try something like that. To give Batman some "peace and happiness". And the fact that it's with Catwoman makes it that much better.
This is for sure a stand out issue for sure. From the fantastic art to the eye bulging cliffhanger, picking #978 up is a great idea.
I enjoyed how the relationship between Batman and his former partner is written and played out. We see that even though Tim has served independently before and with great success, Bruce still has to remind him to slow down and look at the little strings th more
"Batmen Eternal" part three! Congratulations, Batwoman-you have an entire army at your command. So how are you going to use it?
Good solid read. I wish the book would've had more of a 'This is gonna be big' feel, but all in all I enjoyed the overall story. Although some may dislike the art, I rather like the style (though there was a few pages where it seemed a bit off).
The conflict within the bat family's ranks is interesting to me and I have a great time seeing how it is played out so well on the more
"BATMEN ETERNAL" part one! With his team completely shattered, Batman must confront Red Robin about the future of their partnership...if there even is one!
Things started to move forward after Clayface's death and initial collapse of the team resulted by it. New arcs are set up and some characters take new, lonesome paths, but overall the issue did not feel like either an end of the old, or a beginning of something new. It's a connective tissue between what was, and what will be, meaning as an element of series, it's necessary and welcomed, but as a more

I think that as usual, the art is amazing and really does all it can do to redeem the book, but sadly, in my opinion, it was not enough to completely carry the load. I'm not saying King can't write, but he's just not my favorite when handling the Bat himself. I actually rather like his portrayal of Catwoman and understand that a person in love reacts different than a loner, but sometimes in this bmore
"Everyone Loves Ivy" part two! Poison Ivy has taken control of every man, woman and child on the planet, and only Batman and Catwoman have escaped her influence. But will the pair of them be enough to nip this in the bud?
Ugh Tom Kings Batman has become boring. I want Batman to be a savage that stalks criminals in the night. Batman is not interesting to me when he’s in a relationship. This is a broken human with issues. Nobody reads Batman to see him attempt to be “happy”. I understand King is trying to do something different with Batman but it’s not working for me.
"EVERYONE LOVES IVY" part one! Mikel Janin returns to BATMAN for a brand-new epic! Pamela Isley's influence can spread as far as vegetation will allow, putting the whole world at her fingertips. Can Batman and Catwoman stand their ground against an entire planet of Poison Ivys?
i don't mind seeing Batman finding happiness. i would just like to see him written better.
Promising start to a new arc, but this was so short that I can't even comment much. I am probably a minority, but I really enjoy Janin's art, and it definitely was very good here.

I think that this introduction is over amplified for the situation. A story that should've only taken a few pages took up the entire book. I likewise wasn't very fond of entire panels and pages taken up to show scenes that could've been presented in a far smaller space. As usual, the art is top grade; pages 5-7 being among my favorites.

"I AM GOTHAM" chapter one
No one has ever stopped the Caped Crusader. Not The Joker. Not Two-Face. Not even the entire Justice League. But how does Batman confront a new hero who wants to save the city from the Dark Knight?
CAN'T MISS: Superstar artist David Finch returns to Batman alongside writer Tom King for this five-part storyline.
