Well I should have known better. Snyder once again proves he can never write a good ending. The whole series dragged on and on, All this build up for that ending? I’ve been burned by Snyder to many times now and will no longer buy books with his name on them. DCs continuity means absolutely nothing anymore. Snyder should be embarrassed that this is the best he could do after years of build up.

Prelude:
King's 85 issue Batman run is now over. After three and a half years of King, let's see how Tynion's Batman goes.
The Good:
I like the idea of Bruce using Alfred's death as a motivation to improve Gotham.
It feels like a Batman book.
It's good seeing how tactical smart Bruce is but also how he is still reeling from City of Bane.

"City of Bane" continues! The last of the independent villains are on the run, leaving Gotham City entirely to Bane and his cronies-including Flashpoint Batman and Gotham Girl! Though this means a semblance of peace on the streets, the iron grip of tyranny is squeezing all life out of Gotham. And with Bane's machinations keeping other heroes out, t...

With a better writer it was a great story. it was called Knightfall by Chuck Dixon. a real comic writer. not this fly-by-night shoemaker.
THE ART IS FABULOUS.
I mean really, the art is good but this is the only score I can give to this issue because of the defect harms me so much.
I have never seen a batman story not logical as this and it seems the wtitter DO NOT has the ability to write a hero like batman. This superhero IS A DETECTIVE and I haven't seen deductive reasoning or direct inference for a lonnnnnnn more
"City of Bane" begins! Bane's minions have moved into Gotham City, taken control and are ruling with an iron fist-including rounding up any villain who refuses to sign onto Bane's program-and Batman is nowhere to be found. I can't say this enough....I can't wait for DC to get Tom King off of Batman!

more random, all-over-the-place, decompressed, pseudo intellectual gibberish.

"City of Bane" continues! Bane has taken over Gotham City, and Batman is nowhere to be found. At least, not a Batman anyone recognizes. Overall, terrible issue. HiC probably is the worst comic Tom King has ever written: bad dialogue, terrible characterization, slow pace and plot twists that don’t make sense plague the whole narrative. Every Batman and flash scene is atrocious.
The art is good but the styles of the guest artists don’t complement Mann style.
The worst problem is, of course, the revelation of the more

it's Tom King.
he's killed this series, and he wants to kill the DCU.
the art was really nice, but what's the point if it's for trash writing?

What a load of garbage. Maybe I'm too dumb to recognize the genius of this comic, but I don't think I want to be smart if that means reading this load of shit and being satisfied. This is right there with the Professor Pyg issue. Completely pointless. And don't tell me, "wait and see." What am I supposed to do? Get through 40 more issues before I judge this? Ignore how much it sucks? Why does thismore

Scratch that. It actually varies issue to issue, but clearly they had some duty on the story, Sideways was wildly different when Dan DiDio went all in (for the worse)
