I haven't been reading any of the X books, so a lot of these references are lost on me. I'm still not sure what the point was… marriage? speaking english? Or was it supposed to be a fun book for all the x-fans out there?

We all know the ghost rider and his/her trouble maintaining an audience. We WANT to like it, but for some reason it doesn't click. The dialogue here is super condensed to the point that I didn't care about the character. That being said, the art was fantastic! Pick it up if only for that.

This was a whole lot better than #1. The story was more substantial, and the introduction to Mr. Hyde [[got my engine revving? ugh]] was fun. Tradd Moore continues to knock it out of the park, but I may wait for this to be on Marvel Unlimited.

Love bluebird. Also, now am interested in Batman: Eternal.

The big 2 historically have good story lines, good character development and editorial teams that make sure nothing steps out of ordinary. Vertigo has taken the stops out of the process and has given us books like Bloodshot. With physiology akin to wolverine (injected with extremis) and ideology akin to punisher, bloodshot provides us with Big 2 caliber stories without the requirement of innocence. Now, onto the arc. The book doesn't take itself too seriously, and is fun and is the essence of comic book story telling. You could read this issue as a one shot and still enjoy it. I recommend picking up at least one valiant book.

The world here is really intriguing. The characters seemed a little flat, but the dialogue was still very fluid. It may be nice to see these characters develop as Wheadon characters do. The art was great... A cross between maleev, Scalera and the new guy on Ten Grand (C.P. Smith). If you're into steampunk crime noir and superhero teams (as i do?) then pick it up. I'll probably be picking up the first arc at least.

**SPOILER ALERT** The only reason I'm not giving this a flat out 10 is... Daredevil NEEDS to be in Hell's Kitchen... I get that NYC are PACKED with heroes, but there are a ridiculous amount of other heroes who could change coasts easily. NOT HIM. Is my fandom skewing my viewpoint? Probably... so ranting aside, we all know Waid can write and knows what's best for Matt, so I just hope it goes well. Congratulations on the great run, and I look forward to Volume 4!

Walking down the aisle, something caught my eye... Huge skulls, vintage typography and mysticism -- peaking my interest. One other thing caught my eye, and that was the "Disney Kingdoms" logo, which brought my 'peaked interest' down to a hesitant, deep-down-decision-making conflict. Well... I ended up getting it, and was not disappointed. This issue established interesting characters, a mysterious, refreshing, light-hearted storyline and nostalgia if you envisioned it being a Labyrinth-esque late 80's movie, which just hadn't been developed yet. I will only recommend it to those of us who still in contact with their inner child. If you don't... well... there's always Preacher.

I think this story is fantastic. The "League of Assassins" storyline is really intriguing and I hope it continues to hold a place in this book. If it doesn't, then I think a LoA book featuring bullseye, taskmaster, sabertooth and scalp hunter would be insanely good. I recommend picking up #1 and 2 and checking it out.

Ok... This wasn't a BAD issue... just short. The story was there, the art was there, but the page count was NOT. I love the effect of the dissappearing panels, and think that concept alone makes the issue deserving of a purcahse, but it takes up literally half of the issue. For something that really has no impact besides adding dramatic effect, it seems like a cop-out. The second half was great, but again, unnecessarily condensed. I enjoyed the action, but am still unsure of how it meshes with the first issue. I will be interested in seeing how this works in trade format.

This continues to be a fun ride. So far, every issue has been self contained, so it is taking a permanent place in my pull, to combat the ever popular tie-ins and cliffhangers. Love the art and coloring

I think I've read this story before. Doesn't seem new, including the characters since they're more or less based on real people.

FANTASTIC! I haven't looked at any other review, but for me, this was amazing. It blended the old school and the new school, both in writing and art. I knew this was a 10 in the middle at "the impericon" reveal spread, which was so ridiculously sci-fi, that it brought a smile to my face. Can't wait for more.

Being a typically-rocky-start, this #1 wasn't THAT disappointing. I enjoyed the art and the writing did a fine job at introducing the characters and their relationships. Give it a chance.

Fantastic ending to a 2 part arc where Vader takes a black ops team around the galaxy to figure out how mon mothma's nephew was able to infiltrate their ranks. It makes me upset to think this won't be cannon in a year.

FANTASTIC. This is a story that can only be told in comic book medium. Millard pulled me in immediately, first with excitement, then with sympathy. Parlov does a genius job of expression and emotion. Each character has their own demeanor and thought process and each panel shows that. Svorcina, The colorist, does a great job traversing between times, and has captured the concept of stereotypical bright, colorful Sci-Fi artwork. Paired with the drab colors of "reality", this is truly a treat.

This continues to impress. After the first issue, I wasn't sure that the return to Tantalus was a good idea since the concept of him on Earth was great, but this did not disappoint. It has taken a permanent spot on my pull list.

This continues its excellence. This issue introduces the main antagonist and his cruelty and we see Duke do something more than talk. In fact, we see him as the hero we've only heard about up to this point. I can't wait for more!

Great! There was a ton of story here in an over-sized 40 page format, and every moment was fantastic. The art is Mignola-esque, with heavy black shadow, but is slightly more cartoony. I'm interested in seeing issue 2 and how Bendis handles the shorter 20-22 page format and I'm curious to see what direction this book is heading. However, this issue is highly recommended.

I LOVE IT! Want more!

I have to admit... I knew nothing about Turok before picking this book up, and that may have worked to its advantage. I was sympathetic towards the character and his Bruce-Wayne-ish-back-story and the artwork didn't disappoint. All of this happened when BAM... the "crusading" dinosaurs pop up and trounce what little "witch boy" had. Dynamite may be onto something here... Definitely recommended.

Still a great, fun, book.

My relationship with this issue is conflicted on all levels. At times, the writing seemed pretentious, yet captivating. At times, the artwork seemed confusing, but at other times, very clear. I'm not sure what this book needs, but I'm pretty sure it's a change of some sort. If the writing is going to continue along the pretentious Hickman style, then the artwork needs to be very clean, clear, deliberate, and intentional. If the artwork is going to continue along the imaginative/trippy style of Robbi Rodriguez/Matteo Scalera, then the writing needs to be dumbed down. The best parts of the book were towards the ending, where we see the simplified story telling and intriguing artwork. I say we give it a couple more tries.

Ok so, yes... This was better than #1. It was better because at this point, you know that it's not taking itself seriously (when it comes to Merfolk) like snyder's Wake. The aggressive-guard-character says "god damn" multiple times after I thought that it may have been a slip. The art was solid, and even made me LOL. Not sure if I'll continue with issues, but would consider a trade paperback.

This was fun! While it will probably remain a one-shot, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
