It's hard to beat a well-written comic with a lot of humor and disturbingly beautiful art. The mouthy character is headed for ridiculous amounts of popularity, so now is the perfect time to jump on the Deadpool bandwagon. Go pick up the very entertaining Spider-Man/Deadpool #1.

There are so many reasons to pick up this first issue that you should probably stop reading this review and go grab your wallet. Trust me, it's great.

To be honest, its very difficult to proclaim the greatness of this new series without spoiling all of the cool moments. So, lets just do it this way: If you like Batman, giant pink robot dinosaurs, and the Power Rangers, then this is the comic for you. Just pick it up, and applaud Tom Taylor for his work.

Two issues in, Tom Taylor is knocking it out of the park with Justice League vs. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The story is so entertaining, and the interactions between every character just make each panel better. This series is much better than it has any right to be, and that fact makes me so happy.

Game of Thrones #22 is a great issue in the series, and it's definitely worth reading. Sure, Dany isn't the best part of the issue, but she takes more of a lesser role. Sansa, on the other hand, is actually made better by reading the comic, and her inner thoughts are a nice addition to the story. Simply put, Game of Thrones #22 is another entertaining option for getting lost in George R.R. Martin's universe.

The Paybacks #1is off to a great start. Cates and Rahal just need to keep the repo train rolling.

Sure, The Sixth Gun #49 may be a little late for new fans to jump on board, but that shouldnt stop anyone from getting interested and going back to older issues. Fans that have been reading this series for a while should be prepared for a quieter experience that doesnt disappoint.

Look, The Sixth Gun has always been very entertaining. The final issue fantastically meets that standard and wraps up a brilliant series extremely well. You need to read it.

I love goofiness in espionage, but its occasionally fun to mix in someone somber just for the hell of it. If you are looking for a spy-centric story thats different than the standard fare, well Hammerhead is just for you.

I would like to say that James Bond: Hammerhead #2 is a fun continuation of what is turning out to be a solid series, but I dont know if fun is the correct word. Dont get me wrong, Hammerhead is super enjoyable. Its just hard to call something fun when Bond is roaming around shooting folks in the head. Turns out, hes kind of a brutal sumbitch. Despite not being fun per se, Hammerhead #2 is a solid second issue. This search for The Kraken is an intriguing story, and hopefully the big baddies reveal doesnt disappoint. Until The Kraken shows up, we can kick back and enjoy Bonds continuing adventures in murder and romance.

Poison Ivy: Cycle of Life and Death starts out very well, lags a little in the middle, but finishes very strongly. Amy Chus first foray with Poison Ivy is one fantastic comic, and it lays the groundwork for an exceptional miniseries. The appearance by Harley Quinn makes this issue more entertaining, and there are rumors that Selina Kyle could appear as well. Hopefully this is true.

I would definitely recommend picking up The Lone Ranger: Vindicated #1. Rey Villegas has an art style that is very detailed while still appearing to be dirty (it totally fits the Old West theme). The combination of this art style and Gray's story make for a fantastic first issue.

The entire run of Justice Inc: The Avenger should be a great read, as long as Waid keeps pairing Bensons team with enjoyable stories and Freires art. Now, we just need more information about the teams history.

Mark Waid wanted to create a unique take on the 30's comic hero, and he definitely succeeded. Each issue ofJustice, Inc.is quite unique, and the weird science is just an added bonus. This series is definitely one you should read.

Justice, Inc. The Avenger had a solid first run with a great main character and some fun side characters. Mark Waid and Christopher Sequeira perfectly revitalized this classic character for the modern era, and Ronilson Freires art brought the visuals to life. There were a few minor missteps during the series, but the arc was absolutely enjoyable from start to finish. Issue #6 is a fun end to this first story, but hopefully Bensons story continues in the coming months.

Guns of Shadow Valley is a fantastic book. The story takes place over 200-plus pages and across multiple locales before finishing in a massive battle for Shadow Valley. The best aspect of Guns of Shadow Valley is the fact that all of the enemies are absolutely despicable people. Its quite easy to hate Bale and his army when they are so evil.

Insufferable looks like it will be a continuously entertaining story that explores the dynamics of superhero teams. Hopefully, the story keeps the intensity level higher and the plot interesting as the issues continue. Seriously, this mentor/sidekick relationship is downright fascinating.

Insufferable #2 was a pretty enjoyable continuation of Galahad and Nocturnus' reuniting. Obviously, there are a lot of issues between the two characters, but they actually help keep the story moving in the right direction. In fact, the relationship strife became a huge plot point in the later portions of the issue and went to some unexpected places. Insufferable #3 can't come soon enough, especially now that a new character named Praetorian randomly appeared out of nowhere. This former serial killer's purpose is unknown, but he will probably be a major player in the upcoming issues.

Insufferableis a series well worth reading, and issue three continues this string of quality. Galahad is a little too dramatic at times, but the attention to detail and surprising moments of humor make the issue pretty dang good.

If you think about it, Mark Waid and Peter Krause are like Galahad and Nocturnus, minus the genetic attachmentand nonstopbickering. Thankfully, Krause and Waid work very well together because Insufferableis a constantly enjoyable comic. Who knows how long this comic will run, but Waid and Krause will make it worth reading for the entire stretch of time.

So far,Insufferablehas been a solid series, and the quality hasn't dipped in the slightest. Thankfully, the story will be continuing for quite some time.

Sadly, there is only one more issue left in the first arc, but it should be an exciting end to a fantastic series. We will find out next month.

If you want to see some great cameos and giggle at awkward situations, go pick up Superman: American Alien #3.

Thank goodness that Superman: American Alien exists, because its the best form of Superman around. Reading this series honestly helps build the excitement for the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

I cant wait to see where this adventure goes!

For a new reader of Captain Victory, this issue is both a great starting point and a confusing read. Captain Victory and the Galactic Rangers gives an in-depth history of many important characters, but the jumping around is slightly more confusing when you are still trying to learn the characters. Of course, Captain Victory and the Galactic Rangers gets more entertaining as you stick with the story, so finishing the issue is very important.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1 is a fun issue, and it appears to be a solid official start of a long-awaited series. Go pick it up and relive your childhood.

Once again, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #2 continues the fun of its predecessors. Kyle Higgins has crafted an interesting story, and Hendry Prasetya has added in the beautiful art to enhance the experience. Sure, there are a few moments that aren't amazing, but the overall experience is fantastic.

Dont miss out on this series by Kyle Higgins. I get the feeling that this upcoming issues are going to get a little crazy.

Seriously, go buy Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The Power Rangers are coming back to the forefront of entertainment with the new movie and two unique comic series. Its the perfect time to dive back into this world, so go pick up some issues!

Considering that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #11 was a fairly shocking issue, its only expected that the follow up would face a tall task in explaining everything while continuing the enjoyable story. And for the most part, issue #12 mostly sticks the landing. The story surrounding Tommy, Billy, and the mysterious saber is quite fascinating, and it appears to be headed toward a very exciting conclusion. The moment alone with the Red Rangers helmet was worth the price of admission. Its only too bad that there arent more pages dedicated to Goldars side of events and Ritas continuing schemes.

Once again, Higgins has added another important story to this very good series. Just dont use it as a starting point.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #14 is a very difficult issue to review simply because there are so many big moments happening that discussing them is like walking on eggshells. So many plotlines could be spoiled with the slightest comment. What I can say is that there isnt a single dead panel in this issue. If comics could be edge-of-your-seat thrillers, well this issue would fit the bill. Its an intense, must-read story for those that have been following this series.

As a continuation of the series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #15 does a solid job explaining some of the lesser-known aspects with a new focus on Zordon. However, the sudden changes in both story and art just seem like filler material to keep the comic series going for more issues. At least Higgins includes some important information that could set up a big finale.

Birds of Prey is a solid start to this series, and the goofiness is a fun break from the fairly serious subject matter. The only issue is that a beloved character only makes an appearance for one panel. Hopefully, its a glimpse into an expanded role as the series continues.

The Fall of Fyrestone is a very interesting story, and it's definitely enjoyable. Mikey Neumann makes a great effort towards crafting a better storyline in Borderlands. The changes in some characters aren't great, but they don't hold back from an entertaining story.

Even if you haven't read the first miniseries detailing Figment and Dreamfinder's origins, Figment 2 #1 is still worth reading. The story is interesting and appropriate for all ages, and the art just makes everything more cheerful. Sure, the chairman can be an occasional downer, but Figment and Dreamfinder are a nice balance.

One fantastic aspect of Miami Vice Remix is the art style created by Jim Mahfood. The oddly shaped characters fit in well with the bright colors and painted look. Sure, the text is occasionally difficult to read because of the styling, but everything else is quite enjoyable. Crockett and Tubbs, in particular, are two of the best looking characters around. The fancy sunglasses and bright shirts make everything in the issue better, and Crocketts constant smoking is a nice little touch.

Miami Vice Remix continues to be an entertaining series, complete with unique art and a great story. Joe Casey and Jim Mahfood are making gold every issue, and they need to continue working together.

The Flash #1 is a very solid issue.The Flash #1 islacking action, at least until the end, but Joshua Williamsons focus on people skills and everyday issues keeps the story rolling. Of course, the action that does show up just makes everything crazy. The Flash #1 is well worth reading simply for the ending. Oh man.

This new version ofThe Punisheris off to a solid start, thanks to Becky Cloonan's story and Steve Dillon's art. The focus seems to be on a darker and more mature audience, but it completely makes sense based on the character. Plus, this version of Frank Castle actually works well as an extension ofDaredevil'sversion on Netflix. While the story isn't exactly made for kids or teenagers,The Punisher #1is still a comic worth checking out, especially if you grew up a fan of the vigilante. Just remember that it might be best to read this issue before eating.

Valley of Death #3 may not be as solid as some other issues, but the details are so essential to the overall plot that it becomes a must read. Plus, every moment spent in The Sixth Gun universe is terrific.

At first, I was pretty ho-hum about the whole issue, but I actually came around on Hal Jordan after about three reads. Most of the characters are solid, minus Lyssa, and Vendittis story is solid. The helpful part is that there are a few details that you only notice after reading the issue multiple times. Hal Jordan #1 is worth reading, especially after you see the ending.

DC Comics latest is one of the best Rebirth series, and its definitely one that Green Lantern fans should check out.

Star Wars Legacy #16 follows Han Solo's granddaughter Ania Solo and her pursuit to get Imperial Knight Jao Assam released from his impending death. Empress Fel originally had Jao imprisoned after he deserted the Imperial Knights and testified on Ania's behalf during her murder trial. Unfortunately, Empress Fel refuses to even take a meeting with Ania, and Jao ends up escaping from the prison with the help Darth Wredd. The Empress decides to send Ania on a secret mission with a platoon of stormtroopers to rescue Jao from Darth Wredd and return him to the Imperial Garrison.

The only downside of this issue was the lack of feistiness from Ania Solo. Granted, she was more focused on leading troops in battle and not dying, but it still would have been nice to see some more smart aleck comments from her.

The battle plays out much like the Geonosis arena battle in Attack of the Clones, except that this time it is not terrible. This battle has Imperial Knights fighting Sith on one side, Stormtroopers protecting Empress Fel on another, and Darth Wredd battling almost everyone all over the battlefield. During this time, Ania and her crew are simply trying to survive while also protecting their ship from damage. Ania's portion of the battle may have been smaller seeing how she was the only one without a lightsaber, but she still managed to play the final role in the battle and the larger story. The best part was seeing how far Ania would go to protect her friends from harm. This is totally a Solo personality trait.

Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. #1 is a great primer issue for what appears to be an interesting new series by Mike Mignola and John Arcudi. This first issue may not have had any action, but it served as a great introduction to the characters and the world. Of course, Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. served as a great refresher for Hellboys world for those that have seen the movies and want to also spend time in the comics.

As a whole, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 2017 Annual is a very solid product. Each author manages to take existing characters and place them in new situations without any issues, and the different art styles mostly fit the changes. There are a few weaker moments for sure, but these fall by the wayside once you examine the collection as a whole piece.

As a premiere, Rocket Raccoon #1 is a fairly solid issue. The story is engaging, the art is phenomenal, and the more gruff version of a beloved character is entertaining. Sure, there is a dip in the middle, but the ending more than makes up for the few boring panels. It will be very interesting to see where Rosenberg takes the story after that intense final panel.

Power Rangers Aftershock isnt perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it is the the exact thing you need after watching the new movie. The story does a great job continuing the newly established trends, and it opens up new opportunities for character interactions that wouldnt be possible in a big budget blockbuster. Most importantly, Aftershock also explains how a city can get destroyed in a massive battle but end up completely rebuilt by the sequel. Thats been bugging me for years.

Squadron Sinister #1 is a pretty entertaining way to start a new series. The action kicks off the issue with a bang before the characters and intrigue are fully introduced. The story just keeps ramping up from that point and finishes in a fantastic way. Now is the perfect time to get on board with Secret Wars, and Squadron Sinister #1 is an enjoyable issue to start with.

Of course, no one really knows the origins of this oasis known as La Nina, but a small group of villagers strives to protect the oasis while gathering resources for a sustainable future. Additionally, the villagers have a new theory about fixing the frozen planet using an old truck and a book written by Al Gore. In order to achieve this goal, the villagers need to convince Scully and Wynn to stay with the group instead of moving on in search of Wynns parents. This could be a tricky endeavor.

Artifacts: Lost Tales #1 is a mostly enjoyable collection of short stories, but it does have one shortcoming. The stories feel more like a proof of concept than a complete story. Granted, the abrupt endings could have been a deliberate choice on the writers parts, but the comics just feel incomplete. Thankfully, the stories are interesting enough to keep readers engaged despite these endings. Plus, each short story features a different art style that keeps the comic entertaining. While Artifacts: Lost Tales #1 may feel incomplete, the interesting stories and unique art styles still make this collection worth reading.

Red Hood and the Outlaws #33 isnt the best issue ever written, but it was enjoyable overall. Arsenal and Red Hood are entertaining characters, and their interaction with Man-Bat was a great little touch. In addition, Starfires quest takes her to unique locations where she has run-ins with some crazy new villains. It did seem that her introduction took a while, but the payoff was worth it. Red Hood and the Outlaws looks to continue with a major battle between Starfire and a gigantic slaver.

Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir is one of the better Star Wars comics released lately, if you can forgive the disappointing end. It would be fantastic if another series about Darth Maul came into existence, but it doesnt appear to be likely. I still wholeheartedly recommend reading the comic.

Green Lanterns #1 may not quite hit the highs of some other recent releases, but dont worry too much about that. The story is a solid start, albeit one that moves too quickly at first, and it seems to be setting up one of the more interesting arcs. The art is the best part of the issue so far, but the story could definitely catch up as the issues continue.

One final note about Star Wars #19 is that I quite enjoy the art style provided by Carlos D'Anda. All of the characters have a very unique appearance while still slightly resembling the actors from Star Wars. D'Anda's work is just the thing to set the issue apart from other versions of Star Wars.

So far, Assassins Creed Templars is a solid comic; the story is interesting, Black Cross seems like a good character, and there is a lot of room for growth. As long as writer Fred Van Lente can focus on the villains some more, then the story should be good to go.

Strangely enough, the interesting story and solid characters weren't enough to makeJustice League #1seem amazing. Don't get me wrong, the issue was decent.It just left me with an overwhelming feeling of “meh”. Justice League #1is similar to a Toyota Camry. Solid car, but it's no Lamborghini.Hopefully, the later issues will keep rolling with the story and became more intriguing as the Justice League doles out some holy vengeance.

While these serious events are happening,the writer Ales Kot is throwing in little jokes that seem forced at times. For example, the first time Hawkeye is shown, a lower third in the panel makes a joke about how Hawkeye is similar to the green guy on TV, only cooler. The same panel also makes a joke about how no one knows who Nick Fury is. This would be fine, but a later panel shows Nick Fury again with a lower third that says “We were kidding earlier. We totally know who this is. It's Nick Fury! Hill's right hand!” At this moment I expected Kot to pop out of my pageand yell, “Get it? I made a joke about Nick Fury! I totally got you earlier. Wait, where are you going? Don't leave!”
