Amazing Spider-Man (2014) #4 |
Jul 23, 2014 |
Slott has started the gears that will drive us into Spider-Verse this issue. He accomplishes to address all the known and hidden plot lines in one issue. Slott works magic with Silk and creates a character that we'll fall for rather she's good or evil. I'll go on record to say that this art team is the Marvel dream team. Together, there are no better visuals in a book. This issue continues to deliver and prove why Amazing Spider-Man is Marvel's #1 series. |

Amazing X-Men (2013) #4 |
Feb 23, 2014 |
Very little action but it was full of story. Answers to questions we all had is what lifts this issue up from it's lack of action. Aaron shows he has many sides to his writing style and it was a delightful change of pace. McGuinness' and Garcia' art in the series is fantastic. The art just jumps off the pages and needs to been seen if you haven't yet. There are a few X-books out but this month Amazing X-men #4 is truly the amazing one. |

Braithwaite and Martin finish off the series strong with action and expressive pages that will make you drool. Valiant definitely delivers a summer blockbuster and shows us the event books are capable being great. |

This is a year 1 story that is jaw dropping and gripping. Another amazing issue by the Bat team. Synder gives us answers to some questions and more insight on Bruce's past while setting up more mysteries to explore. Capullo is showing his fans how much he appreciate us with his art being 110% every time but he is bested by Fco this issue. This book sells itself but if you ask me, This series has been on top of the charts week after week. This issue is no different and it is a must buy! |

Edmondson has written a fantastic issue full of emotions and character development. He has shown us that Black Widow is more than an avenger and assassin. She is still normal within her own right like us folks. Noto just owns this issue with the colorful art work and the panel layouts. Noto was born for this book and I am glad to see him on it. If you are not reading this book yet then you are missing out on possibly one of the best series of 2014! I strongly recommend reading Black Widow. |
