The issue's ends with a cliffhanger and the appearance of the Suicide Squad. Still, this is by no means a good issue. The characterizations are completely off, and the story is just a huge build-up for the cliffhanger. The artwork is okay, without which, the whole thing would have been unreadable.

All in all this is a very solid first issue for the new arc running through theSuperman title, and I am very excited to see what will come next.

This isn't an unreadable issue " it actually flows pretty well, all things considered. The problem is that nothing really happens, and it's not a good start for the story-arc.

So, even thoughthe plot doesn't move forward in leaps and bounds, the story gave uswhat weneeded for any upcoming adventures, and the artwork was pretty much perfect. Get ready for the new Superman.

Overall, this issue was as good as most of the issues in the beginning of Doomed. And, as I said, its biggest merit is being solid in the midst of so many bad issues.

This is the worst issue in the Doomed event so far, and the major story seems to be headed towards a weird and confusing close. And if that's where it's going, I'm just glad that the end is coming.

This is one of the best Marvel titles right now, and if you are a X-Men fan, you need to read it.

This Action Comics issue was definitely not as good as Pak's other issues not related to the Doomed event. Right now, I'm just glad that the Superman title isn't part of the crossover anymore because it means I have something for the character that isn't related to all this mess.

I liked that this issue feels a little like a DC Trinity issue. All three main characters have important roles, and while one of them happens to be the mainvillain, it's still great to seethem all acting together.

Greg Rucka and Russell Dauterman make creating comics seem effortless, and I sometimes forget stories can get this good.

This last remark is quite bitter, but I still enjoyed the issue very much! As I said, several moments weren't all that great, but the best moments were pretty much perfect, creatinga must-read issue for any Superman fan.

Unfortunately, after reading this issue, my faith in the title is almost completely lost.

This run might redefine the character forever, which could be awesome.

The story is moving closer to an end, now. I don't think the event will go beyond August. Prior to this issue, it was hard to see how they would tie all the ends together in just a few issues, but now we know how all these villains are connected: Brainiac is behind everything.

So basically, this issue has one of the weakest arcs since the beginning of the event, but the second arc isso good that the creative teambrings the overall quality back to where it previously was, creating even higher expectations for the future of this story.

I have high hopes, though. Now, even higher than before.

However, until now the series has been struggling to find its place in the current DC Universe. It is struggling to be very original, and when we consider that it is one of the few titles to feature that many characters who didn't exist prior to The New 52, it seems like it could lead to interesting things. But it needs to deliver more than just new characters if it wants to achieve greatness.

There is a lot of greatness that can come out of this story-arc.

I think this event will be remembered for many years, however this is not the only issue that proves how great it is " it does show how high quality the story arc is while making me look forward to what's next.

Overall, this issue gave me absolutely everything I had been waiting for since the beginning of the Doomed event. Superman, Steel, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, Wonder Woman, Lana Lang, and Metallo all had important and interesting roles, and the story is quickly moving forward. I can't wait for Superman Wonder Woman #9 to come out.

This is a solid issue. If you have been following the title so far, you won't be disappointed. It flows steadily and feels much more like a character study than an action story. It can turn out to be a great character piece if it keeps the quality up.

By the end of the issue, my hopes for the continuity of the Doomed event were restored. Even though I haven't been the biggest fan of Scott Lobdell's work in the title, I'm glad he was able to deliver a really solid final issue in his run.

When I cleared my head a bit, I realized that most of the issue had been great. Who cares that the ending is a frustrating one? The bottom line is that this whole story-arc is one of the best Thunderbolts story-arcs so far, and I am happy with it.

The issue was underwhelming. I don't know if it's because I don't like Batman's voice or if the creators were less motivated than usual. Something just didn't click in this issue, and everything that happened in it could have easily been told in 10 pages. I still believe the Doomed event will be a good one overall.

And so far, the Doomedevent has shown itself to be consistently good, though I'm still waiting fora really great issue to come out, whichI think will happen quite soon.

As a tie-in for the event, this was an essential issue. We don't see much action, but we see growth in Superman's character.

Almost everything else in the issue is either amazing or downright perfect. The fact that it has some weaknesses definitely doesn't keep it from being an excellent read. I have extremely high hopes for what is to come in Doomed.

This issue excels on its own. The reason adult Cyclops is so important to me now is because young Cyclops is haunted by the fact that he will become the man he hates. This is certainly one of the most perfect issues to come out in the past few months.

I was worried about what would come out of this issue.Issues #1 through #5 of the All-New Black Widow title have had a very inconsistent quality " the worst issue wasn't all that bad, and the good issues were awesome. Since the last issue was the most displeasing so far, I honestly thought the quality drop was permanent. Fortunately, I was wrong.

There is a lot built up. And from these foundations, it's very possible that something amazing can happen. At the same time, none of those three prelude issues were really good.

This story arc is great so far, and I hope it keeps getting better.

But all in all, this was definitely the issue that I disliked the most since the beginning of this run. It wasn't bad, but it had absolutely nothing special " if the very first issue had been like this, I wouldn't have continued reading.

Thunderbolts is still a very fun book to read. It's dynamic and provides the kind of entertainment we like seeing every once in a while. There's not much more than that, though. Writer Charles Soule doesa great job in making sure this was dynamic enough for the reader to be always entertained, but the issue itselfjust doesn't add anything to the story at large.

Harrow creates some weird ghost elephants, and this is where the art really stands out. These giant animals are exceptionally well drawn, and the colors by Wil Quintana fit perfectly giving a very cool effect to the animals with a lot of yellows. It's just so beautiful.

Overall, Aquaman and the Others #1 was really an okay first issue. If I wasn't a fan of the characters, I might not continue with the second issue, though truth be told, this series does have potential. Writer Dan Jurgens could possibly be setting the ground for something really good.

View Issue       View Full Review

This was definitely way better than anything Ann Nocenti has done with the character, but still, I want more. It can and it should be better! Catwoman is a character with great potential. Don't waste her, DC!

View Issue       View Full Review

In the end, this was definitely not a good issue. But it wasn't really bad either.

View Issue       View Full Review

After all, I can always pretend this is not Earth-616 and that Black Widow's past is not the one I used to know. And if I do that, I wouldn't have a single complaint.

View Issue       View Full Review

With the story-arc over, I can officially say that this has been really fun. Not much more than that, though. If you want to read something that will keep you entertained without forcing you to think much, this is the book for you.

The Red Leader, who didn't impress me at all in the previous issue, proved to be a very good character, here. Writer Charles Soule is able to make him extremely funny and surprisingly intelligent, even considering he is the one making a deal with the devil.

Now, if I didn't know what made me read this book in the first place, what made me want to pick the next issue up is even more of a question mark. It was entertaining, fun, and dynamic, though it didn't have much more to it.

This issue was filled with highs and lows, but I'm mostly pleased with everything that is coming out since the beginning of this story arc.

View Issue       View Full Review

To sum everything up, I have to say I like each issue a little less, but I'm still mostly pleased with the series so far and am truly believing the next will be one of the best in the series.

The end of this issue is extremely anti-climatic. After such an amazing issue, I expected the best cliffhanger ever. But my prediction for the following issue is: less monsters, more humans (or humanoids), and a lot of talking.

Overall this is a pretty good book. It has some flaws but is still able to set high expectations for this new arc.

Overall this was a pretty bad issue. I haven't read the other Gothtopia titles, but I hope they were better than this.
