Despite my frustrations, as I mentioned above I did enjoy the issue, it was a lot of fun. For me especially, there were two outstanding points to this issue. The first was the way Soule wrote Cyborg. Cyborg has really come into his own in The New 52 and I have never read him written so well since the beginning of Forever Evil till now, and in my opinion I think this event has written him particularly well and he was showcased excellently in this issue. Secondly, the art was just superb especially the colouring. The action scenes looked fantastic and really felt like the page was moving and the colours looked like what I imagine in my head that these superhero outfits look like that most of time in The New 52 we just havent seen. Tony Daniel, for some reason, is off-duty for this issue, and his replacement is Thony Silas. To compare the two would be silly. Daniel is world-renowned for his abilities to gorgeously render DC's favorite super-heroes closest to their "House Style" while still retaining his own flavor. Thony on the other hand is a lot different. I think DC took a risk in allowing him to draw the book and it paid off. His style is much more likely to be seen in an "indie" book. It surprisingly reminds me a little bit of Matteo Scalera's, who also actually drew Batman this week as well. Regardless, I think his art is very successful in capturing almost everything in the book. I enjoyed it quite a bit and hope to see more of his work in DC books. My only qualm is that his Doomsday isn't very menacing, especially compared to Tony Daniel's or Aaron Kuder's. Still considering the small amount of Doomsday actually in this book it's a very minor quibble. Read Full Review

We're drawing near the end of the story arc and while this isn't as good as some of the other issues, it makes a decent penultimate issue in setting up the finale. The art by Siqueira is a noticeable difference from what we've come to expect from Daniel, but he still gives us some good looks in the outer space robot fight (I feel ridiculous even writing that sentence.) I was very split on this book. It's almost a 4 but because this book seems to do so much backtracking, it just didn't make sense. It still is a solid read and what's being done with Superman and Wonder Woman here is interesting and could lead one awesome conclusion. Overall, this was an ok read and I mildly recommend it. Charles Soule says one good thing about the relationship between Superman and Wonder Woman issue, so one would suppose that makes this count as a true Superman/Wonder Woman issue as opposed to just another entry into the Doomed storyline, right? If that sounds snarky, it's only to point out that, once again, while this is an alright entry of the Super-crossover, it still feels like this particular story should have ended some time ago. And it looks like Wonder Woman is willing to use Warworld as a bargain chip to get Mongul into the fold. Boy, I know that Warworld is a Death Star analogue. But this sure does look like a certain 'fully operational battle station'. Well, another chapter down. The plot moved forward a bit. And we are set up for the final part (outside of the Supergirl crossover issue). Superman:Doomed #2 will be out soon and this arc will be over. And I will be thankful. I am hoping this will erase the last bits of Lobdell plot threads from the super-titles. I am hoping that Greg Pak and Aaron Kuder can get back to the sort of stories they were doing before this arc. And I hope I never have to think about what this Doomsday infection was all about. Because my head hurts from trying to figure it out. Read Full Review

Superman/Wonder Woman #11 is a big misstep for "Superman: Doomed". With an unnecessarily busy direction, and a lack of consistency between tie-in issues, this month's Superman/Wonder Woman suffers incredibly. "Superman: Doomed" has lasted long enough, and readers will look forward to the conclusion for the sole reason of getting back to the norm. Read Full Review
