This was a bizarre way to end his run, but I really liked what Charles Soule gave us throughout the series and in this issue. The art was a bit off, but the story was a fun way to say goodbye. I'm going to miss you, Charles. Thanks for a great book. Read Full Review
But he still didn't get there. Still, for an epilogue, for a parting issue to show how legitimate this romance is, this was a decent try. But if you want to read what real romance feels like in a last issue, you should seek out Swamp Thing #64. That is a very good read. Read Full Review
It would have been ncie to see Soule remain on the series and tell more contained stories for a while, but there are far worse ways to end a run than this. Read Full Review
I've enjoyed Charles Soule's run on the comic, even though I feel a bit cheated as "Doomed" took up seven issues of the series' run. I know Soule was a creative player of "Doomed", but he crafted a series where two of DC's heaviest hitters had to share the space and do more than be super. Clearly, Soule succeeded. The final page of the comic is one we've seen before - where the heroes are looking out at the sunset while holding hands - but the promise of a new beginning is bittersweet. Luckily, Soule left an indelible mark and hopefully Peter Tomasi and Doug Mahnke can continue to make the series great when they take over next month. Read Full Review

This issue is a little odd. Superman and Wonder Woman fight like a married couple for the first time and the villain is a flower, no joke. Obviously Strife is involved in a plot twist since she's featured on the cover but there's a guest appearance from another DC character from a book that Charles Soule is also a writing, which was pretty fun. I'm just so glad that the Doomed storyline is over because while it started off good, it dragged so many titles that were tied into the arc that it became frustrating and almost intolerable.
Not a good issue. At all.
