    All-Comic - Chris Campbell

Overall Grass Kings continues to go above and beyond just a another story. It is a must read. Kindt and Jenkins make a spectacular team that draws the reader in just as much as the universe has entrapped Robert and Bruce. Read Full Review

If you are a fan of Briggs Land, Postal or even TV's Riverdale or Twin Peaks, you should be picking up Grass Kings. It has that small town with an unseemly underbelly vibe down pat. But I wouldn't write this off as a knock off of those other works. Kindt has something up his sleeve and I want to be there when he starts to pull out the aces. Read Full Review

"Grass Kings" #3 is another excellent issue of this very special ongoing series still in its early stages. Kindt and Jenkins have something heartfelt and unique on their hands and I cannot wait for the next issue. Read Full Review

Grass Kings is a slow build that adds mystery and tension with each issue creating a world that feels realistic and at the same time magical in a weird way. By combining genres and themes it feels like something new and one I can wait to see where it all goes. Read Full Review

Word Of The Nerd - Brent Jackson

Matt Kindt and Tyler Jenkins prove to be a great creative team and keep delivering a fantastic story in Grass Kings. Questions are still left unanswered but in issue #3 we do start to get an inkling of why Sheriff Humbert wants in The Grass Kingdom and get some more information about the possible serial killer in the midst. The introduction of Maria into the Grass Kingdom and why she is there introduces nothing but trouble for Richard and his brothers. It has never been easy to rule the Grass Kingdom and things just got a lot more complicated for the Grass Kings. Read Full Review

    The GCRN - Daniel Clark

Matt Kindt has had quite the year for himself with his work on this book as well as his work for Valiant. Grass Kings is not a title I hear enough people talking about and that is quite a shame. It may be a slower paced story but it is one that has a much bigger audience than it is currently getting. Those who read past Jeff Lemire titles like Essex County will find much to enjoy with this series. Read Full Review

"Grass Kings" is deliberately paced, and at the same time very captivating. The book uses flashback excellently to fill in some gaps, and I am excited to see how the mysteries of the grass kingdom and the past unfold. In addition to the intriguing story, the Tyler Jenkins art is just great. The loose, sketchy style works perfectly with the tone of the story. And the watercolours are beautiful. Really good stuff.
