Horrors haunt the Christmas season as life-drained bodies litter the countryside, each marked with a strange symbol. The Justice League responds--but it's a trap! The heroes are pulled from our world, but not before Batman helps Robin escape. Now Damian Wayne must seek out Zatanna and the one and only Santa Claus if there's any hope of saving their friends and family. Santa comes to the aid of the DCU heroes in the crossover-event sequel you wished for! And you must have been extra good because a wintry mix of DC's wildest characters arrive this time to face a powerful foe...the Silent Knight!
Batman/Santa Claus: Silent Knight Returns #1 is more than a holiday special. Implementing some folklore into Santa's makeup transforms him from the front of a Christmas Card to a figure with depth and intrigue. Read Full Review
Jeff Parker delivers a festive sequel to last year's Silent Knight storyline. I loved how he managed to include so many members of the Justice League while giving Santa Claus a fantastic entrance. It was great to see characters like Mera, Nubia, Constantine, and Zatanna make an appearance. I'm excited to see how much of a role they'll play in the story and can't wait to find out. Overall, this festive follow-up strikes a good balance between superheroics and holiday cheer, setting the stage for an intriguing series ahead. Read Full Review

It suffers somewhat in accessibility to newcomers, however, and I suspect it will read better as a single volume than as a weekly periodical. Truth be told, this issue is more of a Justice League story than a Batman one. However, it will meet the needs of those who seek holiday-themed superhero action. Read Full Review
This has started a lot weaker than the first run. I don't think this villain matches the Christmas genre, but I don't know all of the lore. I like that Zatanna is a major player. I hope this gets better. I'll continue with it.
