Batgirl enters the scene as the half-powered Superman goes to war against Vandal Savage!
In a team-oriented issue, Greg Pak moved the story forward and showed a more genuine Superman. Read Full Review
Overall, this issue is only meant to build towards an eventual battle with Vandal Savage. And, while there may be issues with Batman and how his portrayal effects others, the story is very entertaining. There are many quality character moments and Superman internal struggle makes this a very good read. Read Full Review
This issue of Batman/Superman focuses entirely on the build up to a fight with Vandal Savage, as the heroes methodically plan every move. That may not sound interesting, but it is due to the quality of dialogue and smattering of character moments throughout. Read Full Review
So overall, I like Clark in this issue, a true rarity in The Truth. But the lack of explanation about the demons lack of life, the idea that Savage would leave his major gains buried and virtually undefended, the fact that his coup de grace is a giant Nazi warship made me question the story-telling here. As I said, the art is very easy on the eyes. The Shadow Demon melee is energetic. Read Full Review
Overall, I enjoyed the story and am pretty interested to see what Vandal Savage has planned with that massive Nazi war ship. Read Full Review
Ultimately, "Batman/Superman" #26 is the very model of an average comic. In a crowded marketplace, though, that's dangerous. Average can quickly become forgettable, and -- if things don't pick up -- readers might wander off in search of something with a bit more sparkle. Just two chapters in, this storyline is unfortunately flat. There's still time for things to turn around, but it needs to happen sooner rather than later. Read Full Review
Greg Pak uses this issue to set up a big fight with Vandal Savage, but unfortunately doesn't stop there. Batman shows up (his name is on the marquee, you know) and this issue goes down the tubes. By the end, I'd pretty much forgotten about the cool Vandal Savage storyline and just wondered what the hell happened and why a sun didn't melt snow. I still want to see when Savage returns, but I can certainly wait the month to see it. The art was also lacking and in the end, I can't recommend it. Just grab something else this week and remember...Brick not hit back! Read Full Review
I was bit flabbergasted at the quality of this issue. Greg Pak is a great writer in my opinion, and I really felt like this issue was phoned in. Read Full Review
Looks to be setting up some good action ahead, but still has issues that need worked out.
Doesn't feel focused
None of the characters here seem represented entirely correctly in terms of personality. It all felt a little cold.
