NINE LIVES PART FOUR Catwoman has completed three of her impossible heists, but her nine lives are running out faster than she thought! Little does she know, someone with a particular use for disposable lives has been paying attention to her new mission--and that someone is none other than AMANDA WALLER! Welcome to the Suicide Squad, Selina Kyle--hope you survive the experience!
This is an improvement from the last issue, which I think was just there to draw radiation poisoning. This issue advances the narrative a little, but it involves the Suicide Squad, leading to a fun, team-based adventure! Read Full Review
"Nine Lives" continues to be an exciting arc with it almost serving as an anthology to some of DC's darkest corners being explored with an exciting character who is creating her own history. Catwoman has been developing into a fun series with a lot to say for readers who can read between the lines. Read Full Review
What ensues is a high-intensity chase with some surprising magical twists, as Selina's journey to becoming an odd cosmic hero maybe with some common DNA with her Burtonverse version continues apace. The only explanation I can give is that this issue may have been rushed but that's no excuse for how sloppy everything here feels. At least each issue of this arc is a standalone complete story, so next month may bring something better to the table. Well, let's hope. Read Full Review
We're back down a bit in terms of overall quality, unfortunately. I still don't hate this others like others seem to, but it's not my favorite book out there. I did like the idea of Catwoman joining a Suicide Squad mission and I think it was fun enough here, but I also think this issue left a bit to be desired.
Tini Howard's run can't end soon enough.
