Jan 21, 2026The team of Jeremy Adams, Cian Tormey, Pat Boutin, Romulo Fajardo Jr, and Buddy Beaudoin has created something absurdly fun with Green Lantern Galactic Slam, and while it's largely self-contained, I'm hopeful this leads to even more adventures with the duo at the center of it. That would be Kyle Rayner and the baddest wrestler on the planet, Omega-Bam-Man, with the latter making his debut in an earlier adventure with The Flash. That said, this adventure ramps things up to 11 with a story of twists and turns that also never forgets not to take itself so seriously, and that tongue-in-cheek nature is what puts it over the top. Jan 21, 2026Adams is clearly having a lot of fun writing this strange little corner of the DCU, and he also has a pretty great handle on Kyle as he gets ready for his biggest role in years. Read Full Review

Jan 21, 2026DC K.O.: Green Lantern Galactic Slam #1 is a genuinely entertaining romp that knows exactly what it is and executes the premise with impressive confidence and visual clarity. It commits fully to its wrestling spectacle without apologizing for the absurdity, and that commitment makes it work. However, it stumbles at the finish line with artificial rule insertions and a tonal disconnect from the K.O. event's serious apocalyptic stakes. Read Full Review

Jan 24, 2026Kyle Rayner's introduction into intergalactic pro wrestling is packed with big heart and larger action with this DC K.O. tie-in. Adams leans heavily into the extravagance of the sqaured circle with the writing. The art team shines when taking the brawling to the next level. This one packs a solid combo and finisher, so don't let the ref count 3 until you check this out. Read Full Review

Jan 21, 2026DC K.O.: Green Lantern: Galactic Slam Issue 1 has wrestling in its roots. The W.A.M. is its own world, operating in a sordid and flamboyant corner of the DC Universe. Read Full Review

Jan 21, 2026If you're a fan of Jeremy Adams run on The Flash and/or Green Lantern, then don't miss the secret origin of Omega-Bam-Man! Seriously, this was a ridiculous one-shot story and another fun tie-in for DC K.O. (the event that keeps on giving). Read Full Review

Jan 21, 2026DC K.O.: Green Lantern Galactic Slam #1might be light on the Green Lantern action, but it has plenty of moments that'll make comic fans and wrestling fans happy. Read Full Review

Jan 24, 2026The Final VerdictDC K.O.: Green Lantern Galactic Slam is a world-merging, well-drawn single-issue comic book that is a must-read for any comic/wrestling fans. While not entirely necessary to the DC K.O., it's always great to see heroes who aren't entirely involved in the main story on their own side missions. Writer Jeremy Adams, artist Cian Tormey, and colorist Romulus Fajardo are true wrestling fans whose passion for the sport comes through on the page. They leave you wanting more of these characters and of this world. While one of the major plot points wasn't entirely necessary, the issue does more good than bad, which ultimately makes it a fun read. Read Full Review

Jan 22, 2026DC K.O.: Green Lantern Galactic Slam #1 takes a flying leap of the top turnbuckle and misses not only as a finisher but as a high-flying maneuver leaving little impact for the K.O. story arc but will be a fun read for fans of wrestling. Read Full Review

Fun read! Adams brings the high energy you'd expect, for a story about a wrestling planet where a guy calls people "bro bro". There were some cool wrestling moves and costumes, although I hoped there would be more creative wrestling constructs from Kyle. Oh well. The team-ups were nice and heartfelt, and I had a breezy time reading this.

Given how little I like pro wrestling or DC KO, this is pretty good.

This was a very uneven issue and way too long. I'm not an Omega Bam Man fan but figured we'd at least get a fun romp with him teaming up with Kyle. We get some of that but also way too many other plot points and what felt like a never ending back story that totally dragged on forever. There was still fun to be had and any wrestler fan will appreciate the loving nods but the dialogue heavy exposition and overlong back story really made it hard to have a good time.
