"REUNION" part one! Oliver Queen and Roy Harper once patrolled the streets as Green Arrow and Speedy, but a massive falling-out left them estranged for years. Now, learn the truth behind the tragic dissolution - and triumphant reunion - of one of comics' most iconic super-duos as Green Arrow and Arsenal join forces once more!
I actually really enjoyed this issue. Benjamin Percy found a great way to bring back a classic character. It was great how everything ties together in the end but at the same time brings up so many questions was fantastic. How did Roy kill his father? How did his father find him? What's up with his brother? I want more please! I also really enjoyed the art in this issue. The colors were really well done and past and present characters were captured perfectly. Read Full Review
If you have yet to give the newGreen Arrow a chance, this issue marks a wonderful opportunity to see what you've been missing out on. If you're a long-suffering Arrow-head wishing for a return to the good-old-days when men were men with goatees, women were women in fishnets and a comic could be socially aware while still presenting a kick-ass action sequence or two, now is the time to come home. Either way, this book is a great read and one of the strongest titles of the Rebirth line. Read Full Review
Ben Percy continues his focus on the legacy of his main character by throwing in the legacy of his side kick. This is a must read for Roy Harper fans and the story looks like it will be a bit of a redemption story for him. The art by Eleonora Carlini is really good and I can easily recommend this issue. A busy issue that finds time to lay groundwork, talk politics, develop characters and blow up some motorcycles Read Full Review
I’m wondering if Roy will be a mainstay into this series, as I would like that and it would also give the series, even more of a kick. I don’t really know how this particularly story would progress, however the history really gives people a quick rundown of Roy Harper. Read Full Review
This story is well timed as Green Arrow and Arsenal come to blows over a very real and meaningful real life issue. Percy and Carlini do a great job using flashbacks to remind us Arsenal and Green Arrow have a long lived past. Read Full Review
It's going to be very interesting to see where Benjamin Percy takes things next with Green Arrow. Read Full Review
Besides the at times rough art, this was another enjoyable Green Arrow adventure. It should be very interesting to see what Percy has in store following the surprising reunion of Oliver and Roy. Read Full Review
This is a solid issue. I like the politics involved and it was cool to fill in some more of Ollie's history. The art looks really great as well. I had a bit of a hard time reading an issue that is mostly focused on Roy Harper but that's my sensibilities affecting my view of the story. Read Full Review
Benjamin Percy has done some great work on Green Arrow, and he's even made it one of DC's best books since the relaunch. But this take on Oliver Queen's first meeting with Roy Harper lands with a thud. Read Full Review
Let's see what the Rebirth explanation for the end of the Arrow/Speedy relationship is, but I did like their connection in this issue. The art is fun, but I will admit the political nod to the Dakota access Pipeline did irritate me a bit.
Great story. Good to see Roy Harper back in Ollie's life. Unfortunately the new artist is not as impressive as I've come to expect from this book based on Ferreyra's and Schmidt's excellent issues. Hopefully they will be back in the fold soon.
Super excited to see Ollie and Roy teaming up again, but looks like we're gonna have to go through a few obstacles before we get that!
I''m not a big Green Arrow fan and I'' not sure why I''m reading this book. I keep saying I''m going to drop it, but Percy keeps ending these issues on ciffhangers that I just need to find out what happens next. Also, I have come to care about the characters. It's a truly family type core these characters share. I just wish Ollie would be the hero in his own book more! Seems like everyone else is always bailing him out! Anyway, can't wait to see how this shakes out with Roy next issue.
