Still one of the most powerful beings in the universe, John Stewart is fast succumbing to the Radiant Dead, becoming something both more and less than human. John Stewart embraces his Marine Recon roots and goes on the hunt in this thrilling new issue!
Green Lantern: War Journal #4 takes a bit of departure from some aspects from the beginning of the series, setting this series off into a more explosive direction that embodies the more common Green Lantern action. Read Full Review
This issue doesn't have some of the best parts of the series, like John's mother (who was knocked unconscious in an attack last issue), but it does continue to build up Johnson's vision of the character. Johnson's been hinting he's got something big coming, and I'm hoping it involves both John and Superman. JLA relaunch time? Read Full Review
Montos delivers fantastic imagery throughout the issue. The art has beautiful detail and captures the dark, emotional tone of the story. Read Full Review

Great read. I am enjoying both Green Lantern books right now, but I think this title has been the better of the two.
This will vary from person to person for sure, but I liked it. Excellent art that really gave the atmosphere it needed. We see John's will in action and the plot for getting him back into powered up mode feels natural/logical and not shoe horned in. Good work. I expect issues 5 and 6 to be action packed.
Doesn’t quite hit the heights of the first 3 issues, but it’s still an engrossing chapter that portends an upcoming war between the (corrupt) United Planets and the OG Green Lantern Corps that’s currently under their control. Can’t wait to see where this is headed, but one thing is clear: the two GL titles are headed for a cross-over soon.
The story was okay, but dragged on a bit and was kinda boring. The art wasn't as good here as in the previous issues, it seemed a little muddy and rushed. They also got the GL logo sideways on the ring a couple of times which just shows that there wasn't as much attention to detail.
