Diana finds herself trapped between Donna Troy and Aegeus in a battle that will redefine the role of the Amazon queen!
At a glance this book could be mistaken for a slow issue with nothing more than 20 pages of talking and 2 pages of fighting. When in fact the case Eirene the Goddess of Peaceputa forward to Diane is very well written and makes a lot more sense then Diane gives it credit for. Passing over her warning as nothing more than the ravings of a grieving woman. I have to say it opened my eyes a little to what peace and war actually mean.Again like the issues before I cannot fault the art, the faces are stunning and the each panel is gorgeous.I'm a massive Wonder Woman fan but I'm honest when an issue isn't good, this is far from the best issue but by no means is the worst. The Finch's wrap up this story arc and seem to restore some of the older Wonder Woman status quo. While the story wraps up very conveniently it's a really good story, delving into the relationship between war and peace. Read Full Review
If you missed the gods and supporting characters from Brian Azzarello's run, you will be pleased to know that they have returned to the title in recent months. On that note, a major status quo change happens in this issue and can't be missed. If you have taken some time off from this title, now may be the time to come back. Read Full Review
While big things seem to be taking place in the last page of this book....... I say "seem" because nothing was really fully explained, the rest of it though was nonsense that just repeated itself over and over again and became really tiring to read. Like usual though, the art in this book was great, it just didn't give us a lot of exciting panels to play with. Read Full Review
Wonder Woman is deteriorating fast and the series is freefalling. It feels like the Finch's have no idea what they want to do with the character. Issue #46 felt tragically rushed with a resolution that provided no satisfaction at all. I wish I could say that the series' biggest problem was still the shoddy character work, but at this point it's hard to find a positive in this train wreck. Diana deserves better. Read Full Review
I'm pretty sure this ranks just behind "and then they woke up" in terms of plot devices that should never be used. It's one thing to write terrible issues yourself, but to undo the work of the better writers before you? I feel bad for David Finch. He's a good artist in a horrible position.
Really needs a new writer
God, I hate Meredith Finch.
This issue not only marks the end of a very poorly written and chaotic arc, BUT IT ALSO TAKES THE LIBERTY TO SPIT OVER MAZARRELLO'S INCREDIBLE RUN AND SOME OF HIS GREAT STORY DEVELOPMENTS
Sadly, WW's title is not worthy anymore
