Star Trek: Picard " Countdown is just brilliant! Already both Mike Johnson and Kirsten Beyer have captured everything that was fantastic about Star Trek: TNG and delivered just a taster in the opening issue. Add on top of that the magnificent Star Trek artwork from both Hernandez and LaFuente and you have here one excellent comic book. Read Full Review
Angel Hernandez delivers some beautiful art in this first issue. I've been a fan of Hernandez's art across several Star Trek related projects. Not only does the art capture the characters brilliantly, but the ships and technology are all faithful and beautiful to look at. Read Full Review
Both writers do a great job of capturing the voices of the characters and the dialogue that we hear Picard say is very much in keeping with things that the character has said in the past. Especially when it comes to respecting all sentient lifeforms. Read Full Review
I was highly impressed with the writing and artwork in this issue. The look and feel of the characters and uniforms worn was bright and strong. The story felt like something out of a TNG episode if the series never ended. The new characters were enjoyable and hopefully not just one-shot entries into the Star Trek Universe. If you are a fan of Next Generation and look forward to Picard, pick this up immediately. Read Full Review

Picard Countdown wasnt a comic that I would have necessarily sought out but Im very glad I got the opportunity to give it a go. Sure, for some it maybe wont tread any new ground, and may even feel a touch dated. For me, it's a short series that Ill definitely be keeping an eye on. If the new show captures the same spirit that this does, itll be a thumbs up from this guy. Read Full Review

I am impressed! Well done story that didn't try and turn Star Trek into Star Wars.
Very interesting start! I love a good Romulan story and this countdown to the show look promising. However one thing that bugs me is that Picard seems not to care with an officer calling him by a nickname.
