The Chrononauts might be dead, but Hit-Girl can use their time travel technology to go back to the world of Empress. This is literally the maddest and most brilliant book out there right now. The comic book event of 2023 and a must for anyone who loves the Millarworld books, as every single character is here for the fun!
Big Game has lived up to the hype and then some exceeding expectations to deliver a gripping and important story. This is absolutely going to shake up the Millar Verse. Read Full Review
BIG GAME #4 makes an already big and fantastic miniseries and adds a twist that makes it bigger and fantastic-er(?) Millar is pulling out all the stops to surprise readers with every page turn, and Larrazs art is top-tier. Read Full Review
OverallMark Millar sets things up for a really big finale issue as we see Morax's forces come through a time portal on the last page. I look forward to seeing how Wesley Gibson and Nemesis fare when up against Morax and his forces. And given that Morax has a Wizard in his employ. It will mean that Cordelia and the Magic Order will no longer be breaking any rules by entering the fray. Bring on issue 5. Read Full Review
Larraz has a mastery of visual detail and explosive action. The art in this issue is stunning and I loved every page and panel. Read Full Review
This is how you do an event. This like like the best event in the past... 10... 15 years? Additionally, for a penultimate issue, this is exactly what you want. Will the good guys turn it around? In a twist of fate... I dont think so. It looks like most are actually dead, but what if a bigger bad guy came in?
Looks like the fate of the world will be bad vs bad vs a couple of heroes. Didnt see that one coming this issue but that is what makes it so great. Love how Millar is pulling together all of his stories.
For me, this is the most exciting current comic series being published. Issue #4 of BIG GAME opens at breakneck speed as we join Hit-Girl stranded millions of years in the past. She is captured and taken to an incredible futuristic city that will be familiar to fans of Mark Millar's EMPRESS mini-series. Has she any hope of escape or even survival?
Pepe Larraz delivers more high-quality art and you can tell Mark Millar is having the time of his life writing this story. I'm only sorry the next issue is the conclusion to this series. I can't wait to read it!

Nice work from Millar. I did enjoy this issue with all of its angles but my unfamiliarity with the prehistoric futuristic (lol) characters hindered my full enjoyment. It would have added more layers if I read all these stories beforehand but I also have kids to feed and you can only read so much Millar before you have to pause.
What can you say about Pepe Larraz? He is phenomenal and exquisite in his work, maybe the best of this generation. Giovanna Niro colored his work beautifully.

I was a bit disappointed with this issue. I am unfamiliar with the characters that Hitgirl comes across in the prehistoric past. It was strange to me that there was this futuristic society living among the dinosaurs. This is too much like Avengers Endgame with the warlord having a whole armada coming through a portal. They weren't even sure if they could repower the device and they were able to create enough power to make the portal big enough for an armada. They lost me on that one. Let's see how it wraps up.
