The payoff to this subplot is pretty genius. Williamson set everything up in a way that Cobra Commander both comes off sympathetic and extremely dangerous. Read Full Review

Cobra Commander #4 is a solid issue that continues to connect the dots and converge the series with Duke. It's one that's full of action and surprises and shows off everything the series delivers with each issue and then some. One not to be missed. Read Full Review

With power within his reach, Cobra Commander is dealt a surprising roadblock in this latest issue. Williamsons writing brings out the best (and most evil) of the lead character. Milana and Leoni deliver on thunderous action sequences while building the foundation to a cant miss finale. Thanks for reading! Read Full Review

Cobra Commander #4 goes a long way in showing where this story is going. We not only get to see why Cobra Commander is going to be rejecting Cobra-La, but also how he may team up with a classic villain. In a well paced chapter, Cobra Commander is a worthy action-filled sci-fi adventure. Read Full Review

The character dive into Cobra Commander has been a welcomed surprise, giving depth to one of the most paper-thin villains of the 1980s toy-based cartoon empire. Read Full Review

The big reveal moments just don't hit like ones made in previous issues. Maybe if the moment in this issue was switched with the reveal at the end of the first issue it would be more impactful. Even then Cobra Commander #4 is still a very good comic book that adds to what is going on in the Energon Universe. Read Full Review

This was great. Loved it all. Loved the betrayal. The character development of the commander, the brutality of it all and how we see how all paths lead to Destro. They are doing a great job hyping up Destro. I love this mini-series, this is a great way to paint a picture of the universe while building it up. Yet it doesnt overwhelm. Very smart move by Skydance. Evergon Universe going strong!

Williamson is really getting the Eneron Universe's G.I. Joe off to a good start. We're getting a series on one side showing the story of The leader of the heroes, and on this side the story of the Mastermind behind the villains. You really can't get a series off to a better start than that way. Usually a G.I. Joe series starts with them and Cobra having been battling for some time. This time we see their origins from the start. It's a bold new way to kick it off. The fact it and Transformers are interconnected also adds to the appeal.
As I tell people, it's small wonder this stuff is kicking the ass of EVERYTHING by Marvel and DC. And best of all word is Williamson is set to return for a regular Energon Universe G.I. Joe series in the more

An excellent fight makes this the best issue of the series yet.

Fun and action filled. unlike Wonder Woman I didn’t get a lecture about the evil patriarchy I got a fun book about cobra commander searching for the lost Energon on earth and getting betrayed in the end.

Whoever decided to do character spinoffs of these characters should get a raise. This was a really good idea in the vein of the Marvel universe leading up to the Avengers. This one is, of course, leading into Destro. This is the shift in Cobra Commander's character and turning his back on Cobra-LA. Looking forward to seeing how Williamson wraps this up.
