    ComicBook.com - Nicole Drum Aug 21, 2019

The issue manages to pull off both a conclusion and a cliffhanger, defying convention much the way the book's heroine does thus making Fairlady #5 one of the best books out this week. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Aug 21, 2019

Things have gone very, very badly for Jenner in this issue. The dive into the darkness this issue shows a willingness to vary the mood and tone. To show a real progression in Jenners long-range character development that could be quite dynamic over time. The challenge here might be keeping things fresh over the very, very long-haul as so much seems to be happening for the young Fairlady in such a brief time. The series appears to be rounding-out the first half of its first (of hopefully many) years very dynamically.  Read Full Review

Sequential Planet - Danilo To Aug 21, 2019

Fairlady departs from our lives far too early as it was just starting to outline its major plot. Word Of The Nerd - Cat Wyatt Aug 21, 2019

Fairlady #5 was perhaps the strongest issue of the series, weaving old plots into the new and creating something so much larger than readers have ever expected. Jenner's perspective was retrospective in a way that made it oddly perfect for the last issue. Read Full Review

    THE GOOD:

-Well, I finally got around to reading this issue. It was great. I loved it.

-This series always does a good job of beginning with a scene towards the end, without turning it into too much of a gimmick.

-I love Claudia Balboni's art. It's not perfect, but something about it just feels very natural and it fits this world very well.

-This issue had the best mystery yet. I was really surprised by the reveal too.

-I loved how this issue tied back to the very first issue nicely.

-That chase scene was really fun and very fluid.

    -I love these characters.

-That end was very suspenseful and tense.

    -Great cliffhanger!
