From KEN GARING, the writer/artist of the acclaimed series PLANETOID, comes an all-new ongoing series of wonderfully weird high fantasy! Deep underground, among the floating islands of Altara, the mystical Gogor sleeps. But trouble brews above ground as soldiers of the Domus impose their will across the land. Now, a young student named Armano must awaken Gogor and begin his quest to protect the culture of Altara. This debut issue kicks off with 28 pages of story!
I liked this first issue quite a bit. It's well-paced, easy to follow, and introduces so much in a satisfying story. It reveals a world well worth exploring. Read Full Review

Of course, this is just the first issue of Gogor. From what I can tell, Garing hopes to spin this story into a Fantasy Epic. Having a setting too complex to explain in a single issue is the sort of problem you kind of want to have with Epic stories. While much of its setting and players remain unclear by issue's end, Garing delivers more than enough to keep us reading. We're sure to learn a whole lot more about Altara, Amarno, and the eponymous Gogoras the series continues. Read Full Review

Hopefully, Gogor can fix the issues and improve as a family friendly fantasy story that is needed. By taking the entire comic on, may ultimately cause its demise. Read Full Review

It's been awhile since Ken Garing published a comic!
This seems to be Garing doing something similar to Bone in tone.
