MINISERIES PREMIERE
The world's most evil comic book is back! Who is Nemesis, and why does this eccentric billionaire who dresses up in a mask and cape want to terrorize people instead of helping them? Isn't that how this is supposed to go? Trigger warning: Too violent and too cool for some!
Nemesis is back with a bang. Hitting the floor running, the baddest of the bad doesn't waste any time doing what he does best. And that is executing a city-wide criminal caper. In this case executing a cunning plan that will leave the City of Angels piled high with bodies and its storm drains flowing with blood. And, I dare say, more stomach-churning twists and turns too. 'Nemesis: Reloaded' is not for the squeamish. Readers can leave their moral code at the door and just succumb to the madness that is a supervillain unhinged, unchallenged, and unstoppable. A protagonist this bad has never looked so good. It is an absolute coup that Millar joined forces with Jimnez because 'Nemesis' is a stunning piece of art soaked in blood and depravity. Shocking, exciting, and exhilarating, but never boring. Read Full Review
Jimenez is one of my favorite artists and his work in this first issue if bold, beautifully detailed and visually exciting. Read Full Review
There's no mistaking Nemesis: Reloaded is the best-looking superhero book on the stands this week. Visually speaking, it's gorgeous, exciting, and at times stunning. Underneath the gorgeous art is a violent story Millarworld fans won't want to miss. Read Full Review
Nemesis Reloaded #1 is the insane violence Mark Millar has delivered in the past. Everything is ramped up to 11 delivering a comic that feels like it is both taking itself seriously but also spoofing so much of what has come before. No matter, it's a hell of a lot of fun and a welcome return after being missing for so long. Read Full Review
Seems to be some disingenuous bad review bombing here. Jiminez is no Steve McNiven but its got the usual high octane violence and craziness that we are used to from a Millar comic.
Action right off the bat. Artwork from Jimenez is 2nd to none. Eager for future issues to learn more about Nemesis's motivation and origin.
Solid action and good dialogues. The art is so alive and vibrant, top class.
Millar doesn't shy away from shocking readers but still writes a better comic book story than most current fare. The addition of Jorge Jimenez on art makes this a must-buy. I'm already missing him in Batman. Some of the panels in this comic are nothing short of incredible.
