Cates & Estherren are working on what feels more and more like a slow burn, though we're coming to bear on a wrap point for this establishing story in the next issue. Where we go next is hard to say " with Slap dead, Granpa on the loose and nearly the whole town pushing up daisies, it's not easy to predict what'll happen to the good country folk. 'Redneck' is an immersive vampire drama that defies convention and invites more thought than we're used to in a supernatural comic. The series' biggest mystery is unraveled after a tension-filled first half of an issue. Cates and crew have created another thought-provoking thriller that will sneak up on you. Simple anything from Donny Cates is amazing! From God Country, BabyTeeth, and the amazing Redneck. Issue 5 is easily a 10! Grab Redneck asap!
Another really great issue this week! Really liked how the story didn't go the way I thought it would (and I quite like the direction it took instead). Can't wait for the next issue!
