"ALL OUT WAR," PART 6
This war has taken a toll.
Now that All Out War has reached it's half way point, I'm almost certain there should be no worries for the future of The Walking Dead. For a series that has been going on for such a long time, I think that Kirkman and Adlard are both keeping the story interesting and fresh. I'm giving The Walking Dead #120 a 4.8/5 Read Full Review

The Walking Dead #120 is brutal and brilliant. There was non-stop action the entire issue and it made for an awesome comic book. This is the sort of warfare I was hoping for when the “all out war” was announced. It's horrible in a way, of course. It's war. But at the same time, it makes for good stories; especially because we know that this is the sort of stuff that would happen, if this was real. If this is only halfway through the war, I can't imagine what's left to come in the second half! I just hope that the war pays off, when all is said and done, and we get to see some peace for the good guys for a while. They're going to need it, if the first half of the war is any indication. This was definitely my favorite issue in the all out war storyline so far! Read Full Review
With six parts of this big event over, it's clear that Kirkman and his collaborators mean business when it comes to THE WALKING DEAD and “All Out War.” This is an event that allows for some great character moments combined with bombastic action and serves as a potent reminder of just how great this series is–and can be. This is an arc not to be missed. Read Full Review
All Out War finally kicks it up a notch, having some intense and explosive developments, as well as some very interesting ones as well. Highly recommended. Read Full Review
What remains undeniably good is Kirkmans writing, Adlard and Gaudianos artwork and the overall feel of the book. Ive been away from the series for a hot minute, but it still feels like the book I originally fell in love with. Considering how much Mr. Kirkman is juggling now, thats massive. Read Full Review
Not much to dislike about this book. There was plenty action and suspense. So we're getting these two weeks apart because I don't think I could handle waiting a month to find out what's going to happen next and a whole year to see this war play out. Read Full Review
Finally, an eventful issue that advances the story. Read Full Review
So it goes with another chapter of All Out War. The narrative has yet to hit a slump but somehow still feels a little drawn out. The book always works better in collected format and Im sure this arc will be no different. Yet, for what it is worth #120 does feel like a pulse pounding race to the finish line that will begin the final chunk of this monumental arc. Im not entirely convinced that Kirkman will do anything drastic to break the mold of the book after everything here is concluded, but Im dying to see a major change. Already these past few issues have felt like a breath of fresh air into a book that was largely spinning its wheels since issue 100. Bring on #121. Read Full Review
"All Out War" continues to be epic in nature. There is no shortage of death and fighting in this comic book. While questions linger as a result of this issue they may play out in the remaining six issues of the story. This is a fast-paced and very good read. If you want war then you get war in this comic. The execution is still strong, but unless Kirkman changes up the game, only die-hard Walking Dead zombies are going to pick up the comic over its TV counterpart. Read Full Review
This siege was nowhere near the shocking bloodbath that The Prison climaxed with. For one thing, it's not over. The only people who “died” this issue were zombie Holly and nobodies on Negan's side. There are a few teases, but… I'll just leave it at that. Though Kirkman's dialogue is great, this book really needs a reboot. Get revenge on Negan (painfully), thin out the herd and throw these characters back on the road where they have to fend for their lives constantly. Read Full Review
Here at the halfway point, I'm impressed by the structure of the arc thus far. It's not clear at this point that one side or the other has the advantage. There's a lot of back-and-forth and the scenarios seem plausible. Both sides are suffering real loss through attrition. With Kirkman at the helm, I'm really not sure how this is all going to end. There have been some hints that big changes are in store, and I find this both exciting and worrisome.
SO we are at the half way point of "all out war" and we FINALLY get an issue that has some decent action and comes close to what a "war" might be like. At least the art seems to be getting back on track. There is actually some decent character and narrative development. Otherwise this arc has been absolute crap, keeping with the trend of the title going downhill since at least issue #100. I've been following this book since #1 and its turned to garbage as robbie K continues to poison the well with TV writing gimmicks and sell-out BS. oh, and no zombies...
so i just cant suggest this title any longer. i should have dropped off before this boring "war" started.
