After recent Avenger storylines falling a bit flat, I am sincerely impressed at how the pieces of this oneare coming together. It is tough to shell out for all the comics I would love to buy, but a return of TheBeyonder is worth your investmentespecially if you remember the 1980s as a comic-friendlyplayground! I'm excited for more Avengers Beyond after this first issue. It establishes a mega threat, captures the nuance of each character, and feels efficient as it gets us from an opening conflict to a new threat to fight by the end of the issue. Sure, there might be some pointless action that feels overly long, but this is an exciting Avengers book you won't be able to put down. Read Full Review
With the initial background of the story well and fully established, Landy can focus on what he seems to be best at: telling a solidly entertaining action story featuring some really powerful characters. All of the silliness of the cosmology of the Marvel Universe has been dealt with. Now, the mini-series can get down to the business of developing some serious and seriously witty action moments. Landy and the art team are at their best when everything is gliding smoothly forward. Read Full Review
Avengers Beyond #1 is an overindulgent continuity mess that will likely confuse readers. The art hurts more than it helps, with Lands controversial style hindering the character designs. Read Full Review

There's some things to like in this story, but it misses the mark so often that it's simply difficult to recommend this even to the most die-hard of Avengers fans. This one's an easy pass. Read Full Review
Really wish Land wasn't kept on as the artist, but the idea is interesting enough that I don't let it bother me too much.
Unlike others, I'm a fan of Greg Land's art. I loved seeing She-Hulk get some action, since she can't do anything but drool over Jack of Hearts in her own series. I like the twist of something bigger out there and the Tiamok chick had a good fight scene. Nice final splash as well. I'm looking forward to this series.
Eh, the gimmick of the previous series is out of the picture, now it's just skippable Avengers with GREG LAND on the art. Hope Landy gets some better stuff to write.
