honestly this issue is the best part of the event. We know the Avengers Prime member identity. It was pretty interesting
This issue plays to some of Aaron's strengths... i.e. his ability to write Thor. So the issue was better for that. The reveal is obvious in hindsight, but unexpected. Which... is usually a sign of a good reveal. It just feels like none of this has had true buildup despite so many issues being dedicated to it.
Much better but it's hard to get hyped for the reveal after so many years of filler crap. This run had all the makings of a great one but the structure of the stories and the bloated multiverse characters/scenarios were just not good. Jason Aaron just stuffs too many things with no real sense to how it affects the story. It just becomes noise. Kuder's art makes it all look awesome. I really like Mark Farmer's inks and Frank Martins' colors on his work. Too bad it wasn't for a better story.
I really enjoyed Aaron's run on the avengers unfortunately this last story still fails to really work for me. However as a huge wolverine fan the reference of how mystique and wolverine met was awesome. I love that story from wolverine vol. 3
Good twist > bad twist > no twist > untwist. And this issue delivers not one but two terrible untwists.
Didn't The Dukes of Hazzard do this exact story back in 1977? I remember getting really confused with all them alternate Duke Boys and wondering what happened to the 616 Boss Hogg.
