LEGACY #716
Rated T+
With some great (and beautifully illustrated) fight scenes, and a few very sincere and meaningful moments, this stands out as one of the better entries in the No Road Home saga. Read Full Review
Avengers: No Road Home #8 stumbles as it tries to align the stories of Hercules and the Hulk too closely. The combination isn't successful, but the individual parts - particularly Hercules' - still deliver great storytelling. Strong, distinctive art helps to hedge the script's weaknesses, and No Road Home rolls on in its accustomed groove: far from faultless, but equally far from average. Read Full Review
The series enters its penultimate chapter next issue. Its been kind of a hit-or-miss proposition with every issue in the series so far. Fusing Conan with the Avengers in a huge dual-setting mini-series has been a very ambitious exercise. With any luck, the final two issues can close the story with a well-balanced finale. "Avengers No Road Home" #8 is a bland middle chapter of the weekly event series. Read Full Review
This was a pretty good issue!
I've actually quite enjoyed this issue, probably even more than the past couple. Not too bad, if they continue like this, the ending should be pretty good.
A good issue, if a bit disjointed. I'm hoping the finale can end things strongly.
This story has been close to perfect from the beginning. Diving into different characters minds over each issue is always a great way to remember this story encompasses every character in it. No Way Home is by and large a great story that will spring to life some interesting directions in the next few years. Plus we have a new family of baddies that are literally every persons greatest fears. As a Spring board into the Savage Avengers and beyond, I’ve enjoyed every issue just fine.
This issue is chalk full of action but not many sincere character moments, and that’s ok every once in a while, as long as those fight scenes are drawn well. Thankfully Carlo Barberi draws this issue beautifully
First hick up of the weekly event. A bit of a letdown since all of the previous chapters were great! Hope they finish better than this. Barberi's style is ok and maybe it didn't fully match the previous artists but it's OK.
Hercules triumphs over despair - which is really kind of his Whole Deal - and Hulk pays for his hubris as the whole shebang climbs toward a climax.
Piffle.
