Black Widow: Venomous is a delight. Visually stunning, this is a great one-shot that anyone can pick up and enjoy. Get it for the nuance in characters, but devour it for the extraordinary art. Read Full Review
The first installment breaking down this partnership is a bizarre and legitimately cool delight, as Erica Schultz's script crafts a campy scenario to plunge the unlikely duo into. Luciano Vecchio's art is some of my favorite of his yet, with kinetic action sequences and gorgeous designs. Read Full Review
Black Widow: Venomous delivers a different dynamic for Black Widow, giving her a partner and sidekick who she has to train. It's a situation she's been in, but not quite like this. In the comics I've read, Natasha has dealt with less experienced killers and Widows, here she has someone completely green and new in so many ways. But, it's a powerful fighter who brings tools of its own to the fight, so the combo creates a lot of potential. Overall, an interesting one-shot that leads into "Venom War, and intrigued me enough to want to check out more. Read Full Review
Really fun issue. The concept of putting a symbiote through a truncated Red Room training in order to better synch with Natasha's skillset is a really interesting one, and it was executed well in this issue. The art was fantastic, the writing and story were both very well done. Great issue all around, this has got me much more interested in a Black Widow series than I would have been otherwise. (Hopefully they keep the same creative team, I haven't looked it up but I would put this in my pullbox for sure if Schultz and Vecchio are on the upcoming series as well)
