Davila delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. The characters look amazing and the action is visually stunning. Read Full Review
Captain Marvel #35 does fix the problems with Vox Supreme being a boring villain but at least the strength of "The Last Of The Marvels" continues to lift the story up. That strength coming from how Carol Danvers and her cast are dealing with what Vox Supreme has done. This issue focusing on the Captain Marvel and her allies made this the strongest chapter of this story arc since the first chapter. Read Full Review
Lots of characters, lots of action, but feels like it might have needed a bit more happening to really pull it all together perfectly, but it's still a pretty strong comic book. And that final page! Read Full Review
It's really great.
The pace is a bit slow; the antagonists obligingly eff off for the whole issue so Carol can free her friends and ponder mysteries. I don't mind the slowdown, though, because the reunions are great and the mysteries are intriguing. Plus, things really ramp up in the last act and the stage is set for a *huge* fight next issue. This issue restored my flagging engagement with the arc; now I wouldn't miss the finale for the world.
The art has an exquisite level of polish to it, and yet it seems a little … sterile? Generic? These are visuals worthy of a top-shelf comic, but they could be for *any* top-shelf comic. They're certainly not *bad*, but art with a little more personality is the missing puzzle piece that could make this comi more
Leave Mar-Vell dead for goodness sake.
I haven't been a regular reader of the series but I started last issue because Mar-vell was around and I love me some original captain Marvel. And this issue brought me Genis-vell back! So it's gets a 9. I have been waiting years for Genis to return since he died in Thunderbolts 100. Now... Spoilers... This doesn't seem to be the same Genis, so I'm not giving this a 10, otherwise I certainly would, but it looks like his story will be told this summer. Meh. Patience. It's like when Phyla was brought back but it was an alternate universe version, it's just not quite the same. This Genis seems to either be a clone or ripped from time or even a skrull. We will just have to wait and see. Better not be a skrull...
Otherwise here, art more
Big, great looking action issue.
Meh, if next issue Mar-Vell isn't coming back I'm going to be pissed off, they keep teasing him.
