Dead Man Logan #3 has it all- great art, perfect characterization, and an engaging story that keeps getting better. Ed Brisson is making Old Man Logan's swan song something for the ages and Mike Henderson's art is the perfect accompaniment. This could easily be a grim, joyless book that would still be entertaining, but instead Brisson and company deliver something that subverts those expectations expertly. Read Full Review
Dead Man Loganvs The Avengers, in a crossover that Captain America and Jubilee assure us "nobody wants" but still was executed wonderfully! Read Full Review
While this book will certainly be an acquired taste for some thanks to its tone and its narrative contrivances, there's something altogether charming about Dead Man Logan #3 that makes it a surprisingly fun read. Read Full Review
This is simply a fun superhero comic with some solid art and not too much to say. There are definitely worse ways to spend your time. Read Full Review
Mysterio steals the show and may have just made this series about him with great scenes with him. Miss Sinister's plans are falling apart, much like this action-heavy issue. Read Full Review
Logan gets tore into the Avengers and the story focuses on how people react to him - the villains tormenting him, the X-Men, and more. It's a static role for the protagonist, but the creators do an exquisite job making the supporting cast dance around him. I'm especially enamored of the portrayal of the Avengers here. They sound at least as good here as they do in their own title, if not better.
Like where this is going just wish the art was better
This was good. It was mostly dedicated to a fight between Logan and the Avengers, which was fun to see. We also get everyone telling us how bad AvX was and that they have to avoid it. And that's funny to me. Also, Mysterio is a cool villain with plenty of potential, so I'm excited to see what he does now that he's no longer friendly with Ms. Sinister's group.
This was a pretty good read, if a little on the fighty side.
